Has to start somewhere.. Walz said the investigation into the police department's policies, procedures and practices over the past 10 years will determine if the force has engaged in systemic discrimination toward people of colour, and work out how to stop it. State Human Rights Commissioner Rebecca Lucero will lead the investigation.

Destroying America. There's a cartoon, coming out of Toronto, that shows Trump kneeling on the neck of the Statue of Liberty. It’s a powerful message, but I didn’t feel comfortable in posting it.

Truth.. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms rebuked President Trump over rhetoric she said is stoking racial tensions in the US. There are times when you should just be quiet. And I wish that he would just be quiet," Bottoms told CNN Sunday morning. "Or if he can't be silent, if there is somebody of good sense and good conscience in the White House, put him in front of a teleprompter and pray he reads it and at least says the right things, because he is making it worse." https://www.cnn.com/webview/us/live-news/george-floyd-protests-05-31-20/h_bfca99823d5a01c57868a82a1fdd5604

Finally, some football talk.. Sunday should’ve marked Day 15 of CFL training camps but instead, it’s Day 15 of the postponement. The mood this week of CFL people seemed generally optimistic that we’ll see games in 2020, but that might be a longshot given Arash Madani’s report that at least two teams are reluctant to play a shortened season. So we continue to wait, and time is of the essence. Argos GM Mike “Pinball” Clemons broke the news on Friday’s RP Show that the CFLPA has vetoed the contract of Canadian “rookie” T.J. Jones who’d signed a six-figure deal with the Argonauts in the off-season. The Winnipeg product spent the past six NFL seasons with the Lions and Giants, but it’s been ruled he’s subject to the CFL’s Canadian rookie salary cap of $85,000. Jones’ representatives confirmed the news this weekend and said, “We’ll never see him in the CFL if that remains the case”http://rodpedersen.com/weekend-random-things-for-universal-collision-centre/
