“I have been in and around the Senate for 50 years. There has been one constant: a senator’s word is his or her bond. The constant is now shredded, as McConnell, Graham, Grassley et al have shown their word means nothing. Why trust any of them?” Norman Ornstein

Just happens to slip in a plea to support his campaign. Many people are so right when they opine it must be a skit on SNL.

Can you spell hypocrite? Oh yeah! G r a h a m. His words: “If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term, and the primary process has started, we'll wait to the next election" Sen. Lindsay Graham, chairman of the judiciary committee, says he will support President Trump "in any effort to move forward" to fill Justice Ginsburg's place on the Supreme Court Defectors’ vote? Among the senators to watch are Republicans Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah and others. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-supreme-court-vacancy-1.5731135

“According to another attendee, it seemed “very clear” Kushner was less interested in finding a solution because, at the time, the virus was primarily ravaging cities in blue states: “We were flabbergasted. I basically had an out-of-body experience: Where am I, and what happened to America?”

👁‍🗨 Guys getting a little loopy... Attorney General William Barr drew sharp condemnation Thursday for likening lockdown orders during the coronavirus pandemic to slavery. In remarks Wednesday night at an event hosted by Northern Virginia's Hillsdale College, Barr called the lockdown orders the "greatest intrusion on civil liberties" in American history "other than slavery." Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, the No. 3 House Democratic leader, told CNN that Barr's remarks were "the most ridiculous, tone-deaf, God-awful things I've ever heard" because they wrongly equated human bondage with a measure aimed at saving lives. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/us-barr-coronavirus-protests-1.5727693
