Riders’ Charleston Hughes charged with impaired driving
There’s a problem in Saskatchewan. They're using the same acronym DUI for Driving Under the Influence and Dating Under the Influence. And we all know what that can lead to...

No More Anxiety Watching the Bombers?

I think Hughes gets off lightly. He’s been in Regina a number of months now. Time served..

It doesn’t change what happened, so I’m sure they’d give their stamp of approval.

And all those QBs are playing on teams that have no better records than Nichols’ team. So, what’s the point again?

We beat the Riders once, and we beat ourselves the other two games. The Riders just happened to be the opposition.

You cannot compare them period. You just can’t say which QB would have success or fail in any given game. So, you go with experience and the guy who has won you games, no matter if it’s ST, defence or Offence. There’s no way you can say Streveler would have won the same games as Nichols. It’s simply conjecture to say otherwise. Like I said, Streveler is set up to succeed, field position and taking advantage of his abilities. And there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s good Coaching. I really like the looks of Streveler and he will do well..with experience. He very well could be the future.

A QB gets blame. Why not credit? Sometimes, a QB makes that key throw on a 2nd down that continues a scoring drive. That pass may only be for short yardage, and may lead to a winning FG. Does that show up in the stats? No. But it may be key. So do rushing yards. The QB has the most touches on offence, and if he follows the game plan, and executes, it leads to good results..usually. The comparison of Nichols and Streveler doesn’t work. It’s usually a set up for Streveler to succeed. The credit still belongs to Streveler because he executes the set up well. But does it happen without the contrast to Nichols? I don’t know about that.

Streveler development
You guys are missing the point. Finally, after quite a while, the Coaching Staff gave Streveler the opportunity to run an offence for more than a couple of plays. Invaluable. A true learning experience. Even that dumb pass. He’ll know better next time. Streveler has to go through these things to learn these things. I’ll bet he was pissed off more than you and I. Starter material? Not yet, but I bet he appreciates everything he’s learned this year, and with each snap, he’s getting closer. I believe he likes it here and will be ready to continue his career in Blue and Gold.

They’re not the same. Jefferson was showboating. Nichols was mimicking a crowd favourite. An inside joke as it were. A lot of people didn’t know that walk, myself included. A lot of people didn’t like it. My fellow watchers just laughed it off. Knowing the background helps. It was a funny 😆 Others have mimicked Arceneaux’s strut. No offence meant, none taken. Time to lighten up.
