2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Ranking the 10 regular-season CFL games in June, all of which will be on ESPN’s networks or ESPN+ ESPN’s announcement also includes the schedule of June’s games, so it’s worth taking a look at where the most interesting matchups are. Here are those matchups, ranked from 10 (worst) to (1) best. - 10. Montreal Alouettes at Edmonton Eskimos (Friday, June 14, 9 p.m. Eastern 9. Montreal Alouettes at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Friday, June 28, 7:30 p.m. Eastern 8. Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Toronto Argonauts (Thursday, June 22, 4 p.m. Eastern 7. Saskatchewan Roughriders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Thursday, June 13, 7:30 p.m. 6. Edmonton Eskimos at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (Thursday, June 27, 8:30 p.m. E 5. Winnipeg Blue Bombers at B.C. Lions (Saturday, June 15, 10 p.m. Eastern 4. B.C. Lions at Edmonton Eskimos (Friday, June 21, 9 p.m. Eastern 3. Saskatchewan Roughriders at Ottawa Redblacks (Thursday, June 20, 7:30 p.m. 2. B.C. Lions at Calgary Stampeders (Saturday, June 29, 7 p.m. Eastern 1. Ottawa Redblacks at Calgary Stampeders (Saturday, June 15, 7 p.m. Eastern The CFL schedule on U.S. TV is generally more about where there’s space with respect to the other things ESPN airs than about the quality of the matchups; CFL games often draw okay audiences for ESPN’s secondary channels (especially as there aren’t any production costs involved; ESPN takes the TSN feed), but there often isn’t a big difference in the numbers for a good CFL matchup and a bad one, and the CFL isn’t exactly a high priority relative to other ESPN content. - Andrew Bucholtz http://amp.awfulannouncing.com/espn/ranking-the-10-regular-season-cfl-games-in-june-on-espn-espn-plus.html?__twitter_impression=true

Camp Day 14 Recap The Bombers rotated a number of O-linemen into the fray against the Eskimos. For what it’s worth, the team started Delroy Baker Jr. and Jamar McGloster at tackle, Drew Desjarlais and Geoff Gray at guard and Michael Couture at centre. At Sunday’s practice the O-line featured Hardrick and Stanley Bryant at tackle, with Gray and Speller at guard and Couture at centre – although the bodies continued to be rotated in and out throughout the session Training camp can be as much a war of attrition as anything. And as evidence, we give you cornerback Amari Coleman, who quietly moved up the depth chart and has been working with the starting defence with Winston Rose, Chris Humes and Marcus Rios all injured. Cut-down day for all CFL teams is this coming Saturday. O’Shea was asked if there might be moves before the weekend and said: “We’ll see. We’ll be talking personnel every day this week, but we’ll see where that plan takes us.”… https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/02/notes-camp-day-14-recap/- 2019 Main Training Camp
-Hardrick vows to be ready for regular season...”I’m feeling great. I loved running around out there, I had to knock the rust off. Just something minor and I’m taking precautions to make sure that I’m ready for the season. Nothing big.” - Jamarcus Hardrick -“Playing a physical, clean game and (having) no major busts. That’s what you want to see.” “It’s going to be a lot of fun. We’re all going to have our opportunities to make plays, but when you bring a guy like Willie in, he’s such a dynamic player and he can do a lot of things,” - Adam Bighill “I hope I showed them that I know my assignments, that I can make good catches, some contested catches and just be a player that the quarterbacks can trust to throw the ball to me.” - Kenny Lawler “I hope I showed them that I know my assignments, that I can make good catches, some contested catches and just be a player that the quarterbacks can trust to throw the ball to me.” - Kenny Lawler https://winnipegsun.com/sports/football/cfl/winnipeg-bluebombers/bombshells-hardrick-vows-to-be-ready-for-regular-season#click=https://t.co/lsYjUpMtsH- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League

Not official yet but expect the #Eskimos to announce to release of QB Danny O’Brien. #CFL - Dave Campbell- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
You know what we didn’t see? Bad snaps. Overlooked? Zach Greenberg- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
Streveler’s fine. He’s in the second year of being a backup QB. Yesterday was barely an at bat for the young man. He still very much is a weapon. But he does have to ‘get’ the passing game. And there’s time for that. It’s just nice to see our backup backups show a little QBacking with their chances. But, There is a gap still between #2 and #3 & #4. There is also a gap between #1 and #2. What will be interesting is to see if any one of those QBs can minimize the gaps and make things even more interesting.- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
But that’s the point. There was really nothing to gain by winning the challenge and they stood to lose their next challenge if they were wrong. Serious or not. Pick your spots.- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Gotta chuckle at Dave Dickenson challenging a 10 yard gain, 1st Q in a pre-season game. S t r a n g e.- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
Deeisms 👁🗨Different blitzing situations but... Bennett, McGuire and Streveler, in that order this game. 👁🗨Don’t know how they did but exchanging all those O-Linemen and allowing only 2 sacks is pretty good. What a process. 👁🗨Streveler- leading rusher 34 The 3 QBs had the best average gains. 👁🗨Based on chances, Petermann had a good game. 👁🗨The return game - some nice options. On to the next evaluations...in Sask 👁🗨TSN has a new play by play guy, Dustin Nielsen, who’s going to do 8 games this year. Let’s hope it’s in place of Rod Black 👁🗨We got to see how important the kicking game is.. 👁🗨Joseph Este - 5 tackles including 2 ST, he’s gotta stick 👁🗨Bombers had a good run defence, and a good pass defence. 👁🗨3 QB sacks, 5 pass knockdowns, and a huge forced fumble. 👁🗨Carry of the game - Jamarcus Hardrick with Dylan Schrot on his back! 👁🗨So many home town boys in this game! Quote - “The incredible culture that O’Shea instills in the Bombers locker room really showed in this game” - the Ratio Breaker- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
What do I see from the QB position? Streveler is still only #2. But what a running weapon. Not a good sign that Kilgore is looking better than our guys early. ST coverage has been very good. Receivers- have to make more catches.. Oh, oh..Jones (M) Nice game Thiadrics! We have a return game..it looks so different. Jeffcoat 2 knock downs. Impressive. McGuire. A bit of a surprise there. Fenner. Guy can play. Petermann, you da mann! Bennett looking like a QB! I see why they like McAlister. Nice defensive knockdown Boynton! Richardson! Sack! Adios. Need I say more? Eli banging! What a massive amount of lineup changes.. Bennett to Dylan Schrot. Wow. Beauty! What a moment for Schrot. Highlight of the night! Can we have Irving do all the TV games? Let that sync in before you answer. 23 penalties in total. Preseason. 8 Wpg. Decent showing by Bennett and McGuire.- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
Yeah, talk about a good Blackout..- GDT Pre-season Game 1 - Edmonton at Bombers
Brown called it. Bennett should have fired that ball. Lawler was open. You could see that lob..- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
