And I like to think MBB can always strive to be like him. And pay heed to the idea to be kind, like it’s nothing special...

Looking forward to tonight’s game. Not only because the Bombers are playing, but also to expunge the memory of those two so called football games last night. Just embarrassing... Hamilton and Winnipeg are the league’s two highest-scoring teams at 37.4 points per game and 33.8 points per game, respectively They are tied in points-scored on offence with 157 and each has tallied 21 touchdowns They top the league in points-allowed: Blue Bombers at 16.0 points per game; Hamilton at 20.0 points per game. They say the TiCats are two point favourites, but they also say Toronto has a CFL football 🏈 team.. Go, Big Blue..- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
He’s got to be finished in the CFL, after this year..- thursday night football
Derek Walker was targeted 11 times last night. He had 5 receptions for 85 yards. With any kind of competent QBing, Toronto, at least, scores. So, the question is, who misses whom more? Derel Walker misses QB Mike Reilly? Or mike Reilly misses Derel Walker?- Game Day Thread: Week 7- Bombers @ Ticats, Clash of the Titans.Edition

Easily the worst back to back CFL games this year, on the same night. I mean, if you’re going to waste a CFL game, you might as well have a Rod Black doing PBP...both games...black to black.- Pregame talk: Bombing the Hammer

From the MBB pick ‘ems Calgary @ Ottawa - 50-2 Toronto @ Edmonton - 7-45 Winnipeg @ Hamilton - 48-4 Saskatchewan @ BC - 22-30 Some CFL tidbits to ignore.. Some remarkable stats... Despite being 1-5, the BC Lions have recorded the most first downs this season (130). This season, teams that trail at the half are 5-15; team trailing after the third are 2-19. Saskatchewan’s Solomon Elimimian (757) is 10 defensive tackles away from surpassing Greg Battle (766) for 7th on the all-time list. Toronto generated just 3 TD drives in the first 3 games - they have 5 TD drives in their last 2 contests. Edmonton has failed to score on Offence in 2 of their last 3 games. They have 3 TD drives in their last 48 possessions. Toronto is a league-low -13 thus far and this has translated onto the scoreboard. Of the 188 points they have allowed thus far, 66 have come after their own Turnovers. A whopping 35%! Calgary is ranked #7 BOTH on Offence (44%) and Defence (allowing opponents to convert 54.5% of the time). A new analytic for 2019 shows that they have faced the highest average "yards to go" on 2nd down. On average they have been in 2nd down & 8.2 yards - the most in the CFL (CFL-wide average is 2nd-&-7.3 yards to go). In their 31-1 loss at Winnipeg, the REDBLACKS got no closer than the Winnipeg 40-yard line with their offence. Of their 51 offensive plays, just 5 were run in Winnipeg territory.- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League

👁🗨 Rather scathing don’t you know... The Athletic’s Kirk Penton’s outstanding weekly CFL post had one anonymous comment — from a CFL personnel member and it stood out. “That scheme June Jones ran over there was good for (Jeremiah) Masoli. He put up big numbers, but if you look at the game the way we do, you would have seen Masoli’s mechanics were getting worse as the season went on. This year they’ve gone to crap. Look at how his left shoulder opens. Look at him throwing off of his back foot. (Tommy) Condell may be a play caller, but he’s not a quarterback coach. Masoli’s mechanics were good under (Kent) Austin. Under the next guy (Jones), you could see his mechanics getting worse. Now they’re terrible. We’re surprised they aren’t self scouting better in Hamilton. It’s the first thing our defensive staff talked about. Masoli’s accuracy has been affected by his mechanics.” 👁🗨 As the next line states “Jeremiah Masoli’s biggest knock has been trying to do too much.” I get that feeling too.. https://lastwordoncanadianfootball.com/2019/07/24/winnipeg-blue-bombers-playing-great-hamilton-tiger-cats-close-behind/ - Game Day Thread: Week 7- Bombers @ Ticats, Clash of the Titans.Edition
