GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Listen people, let's cut right to the topic on everyone's mind. I know they wore the navy's in walk through but any chance they come through the tunnel in the Royal Blues tonight?

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
Correctamundo. But my point is that he doesnt have to have Romby on the team. He brought him here because he believes those things he said after working with Romby last year. So our perception that Romby is an over the hill selfish quitter is not held by the coach- who would know.

Poll - who has more wins ? Winnipeg or Ottawa?
Winnipeg barley.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
I am still in the trust this regime stage and Osh speaks so highly of the guy I will go along with it. Its not like we have Eugene Goodlow playing wideout right now so how much worse can Romby be?

Lock of the Week

Burke
He's right about one thing though, it was a mistake to fire Lapo. Remember when everybody thought he was going to turn the team around because the first practise was up tempo and they did gassers? It was like "well this was the problem all along, we needed up tempo practices and gassers for going offside". Because it's just that obvious. Three days later 52-0.

RB Davin Meggett
What has that got to do with him? If his name was Edward Byner do you think somebody on here might ask if he was the son of Ernest Byner who used to play for the Browns. Is the fact the guys Dad played in the NFL now unspeakable because of the actions of his Father post retirement?

RB Davin Meggett
Is he related to he rapist running back who used to play for the Giants?

Roster Cut Discussion
So this team is going to suck this year? We already knew that. And there's not much more that could have been done in one off season to change that. This is going to take a while folks. Let's sit back and hope for a gritty 6-12. Much better than a gutless 3-15.

Roster Cut Discussion
It is tough to totally rebuild in one off season. Guys can spend years on the neg list before coming up. If our list was the worst in the league as reported last year it is no surprise we arent stacked with great rookies this year. That can take a while. This year might be all about trying a thousand news guys hoping to find 7 or so that will be key guys on our 2016 grey Cup winning team. I guess what I a saying is we have a long way to go. Some of the guys cut today will be on the practice roster and could be in the line-up next Thursday and soe of the guys not cut today could be long gone by then. For example we still have 4 International OLs.

Maher in Ottawa
Good for the kid. Hopefully he makes it there. And hopefully the guys we kept do great.

Only 22,500 tickets sold for home opener
I think people bitching about Winnipeggers bitching is far more common then Winnipeggers bitching in the first place. When you consider 21,500 seasons tickets plus flex pack holders they have probably sold only a couple of hundred "walk up" tickets for this game. Even with the usual last minute purchases tickets sold will probably be below any game last year. If you consider that a non-story that's cool. But they probably don't agree with you over in the Bomber's offices.

CJOB Coaches Show
Riiiiight, cuz you were oh so much closer to the action then O'Shea was... Why do people keep thinking our coaches are lying to us? Especially on a dumb **** situation like this?? It's just an opinion. That being said, I'm sure Floyd is probably not watching the same amount of game film as the coaches, so it'd probably be wise of him to defer to the experts who break down tape rather than rely on his opinion from slow motion replays. If we adhered to the truthfulness of that last sentence then things would be a lot quieter around here.

Bombers release 4 more...
You do if you want to be good. That guy was absolutely atrocious. It will take 3 more years to rebuild our Canadian talent.

Alouettes Fire OC Rick Worman
For an organization that is supposed to be a model franchise and what not they sure seem to have a lot of weird **** go down there.

Bombers sign two more receivers
I noticed he was wearing #10 yesterday. I think he's the 2nd guy to wear that number and get cut so far during TC. Must be destiny that we'll need it for somebody else later this summer.

Bombers negotiate Transit game day discount
If it's regular bus service to the games and not park n ride a poo show is guaranteed to the first game. Which will be a familiar scene.

Bombers negotiate Transit game day discount
As long as it's park and ride and not regular bus service I don't mind paying I guess. Just make it convenient is all I ask.

Main Camp Day 4 (Reports and Discussion)
I was there for a bit. Got kicked out of the sunny end zone too where I was trying to watch the O Line. There didn't seem to be much reason for it but let's move on. I thought Grigsby looked good running the ball. Kemp made some big catches in the parts I saw. Mike Scheper is a complete maniac. In a good way I suppose. Goossen was struggling when I was there. After a winter of hemming and hawing I decided to renew my seasons. My old seats were taken so I am now sitting 4 rows below the Rum Hut. Which should be fun since I take my 10 year old to most games. I'm sure he won't here any words he hasn't heard watching the games with Daddy.

New Bombers coach O'Shea doing everything possible to control the message
Paul Friesen columns... So predictable. MBB reactions... Even more predictable.

TSN Panel (Randorf leaving TSN)
Randorf is the first guy that ever did it long term. In the old days it was usually " the new guy". I seem to recall both Dutch and Duthie in that chair for one season each. They could go all out and put Brian Williams in there but my guess is Mudryk.

Expectations for 2014
I expect major improvement. 6 wins. Then in 2015 respectability. 9 wins and a playoff berth. After that perennial contendership.

Pavelec
Here's what Burmi's offensive skills have accomplished. 65 points as a career high in JR 13 goals and 28 points as a career high in the NHL 2 goals in 22 games in the AHL 37 points in the KHL If Alexandre is as offensively gifted as some believe when, and in what league, is he going to start putting up some numbers? Fancy dangle doesn't automatically equate to production. Stickhandling yourself into the corner looks good but doesn't really create scoring. It's like being the QB with the strongest arm. Only part of the picture. If he was willing to to the line and play on the 3rd line it would be one thing. But he is not.
