I don't think it's replacing him that's people are against. IF they find someone better perfect. You're making it sound like Thompkins has no business playing pro ball. Only speaking to his numbers as if that's the end all be all to show his talents. You're right, he didn't put up big numbers as our #4 option. Guess what, our #1 option didn't either. The only thing Thompkins could do was catch the ball when it was thrown his way. He did. Damn near every time. He was also a fantastic blocking for the leagues #1 rusher. I'm not opposed to replacing him. I'm opposed to shitting on a guy for doing his job as a #4 option.

Everyone is talking about Lofflers big hits. In 1995 they would have been game changing. In todays game, they aren't. In fact that hit on Manny (while one of my favorite of all time) ended up costing the Bombers big time. Big hits are not needed or (in terms of player safety and game planning) wanted anymore. I'd rather have someone who can break a pass up or pick it off then lay a big hit. Keep in mind, I love hard nose big hitting football. But the game has changed.\ I'm willing to see what Jones/Hecht can do out there. Looking back, Jones was often highly spoke of by his coaches and made plays when given the opportunity. Will be interesting to see if he can get back to that form. Hecht filled in nicely a few times last season. But I don't see him as the future for the that position.

I'm honestly not convinced Davis can't start in the CFL. He has shown a lot of flashes. Just needs the right fit. is it Ottawa? Likely not.

Walker Matthews still available. Somoni Lawerence still out there? Not that I want him, but thought he'd be scooped by now.

I wouldn't take bo if it meant losing Streveler. Nichols sure, but Streveler is too young and has too much upside. Maybe if Bo had helped turn cgy around...but he hasn't. His success is very much tied to the environment he's been a part of.

I kinda hope Bo lands in TO or Ssk. I think he may be exposed a bit with either team. Neither have the coaching or the depth CGY does. I do think he goes back to CGY though.

Exactly. regardless of how they play. No one spends big on the Safety. It's one of the easiest backfield positions to play/replace. Good luck to him. But at this point he is Ssk bound I would think.

not really. Couture knows the O, as does Peterman and Simonese. They aren't first year players. And all saw playing time. Peterman and Couture saw significant playing time. Gray spent time in the NFL and has been here since before the Grey Cup. I expect him to be ready for TC.

I haven't seen anything suggesting Johnson or Davis end up there. And Carter would be fairly cheap.

Count me as someone who thinks Santos Knox is the best value WIL on the market. Mostly due to his age. Saying that, I think the bombers already have his replacement on roster.

That's basically what I said...if the bombers lose out, it won't be because they didn't try, it'll be because the other offers are just too good to refuse.

I don't think the bombers can be out bid for Chungh. It's just a matter of where HE wants to play, he basically has his pick of teams...its just who is willing to pay equal or more then the bombers.
