Add player/team Long term relationships. Hard to build a loyal fan base when your favorite player (henoc/Jefferson/walker/etc) switch teams often. These 1 or even 2 year contracts just aren't making it possible for fans to connect with the players and grow up with them.

That solution won't work. It's no different from a Canadian ratio for American teams. The issue isn't not enough players (though I suppose that would be an issue too) to keep the ratio, it's that American labour laws won't allow it. The only solution I've seen that would likely work is in state/local college ratio for any American team.

I agree with you that Naylor has been down on the CFL since this came about. I completely disagree with the bolded statement though. Attendance has been dropping league wide for a few years now. Thats a problem.

Overall I agree with what you're saying. But at one point we had a similar or high infection rate then North Dakota. Also Trump and the GOP never thought this was fake or just a flu. He/they knew early the severity of it, but didn't want to impact the economy so they purposefully down played it.

To be honest, it's been a while since we've won a game at IGFWest. So them hosting another playoff game is ok with me.

I know the NFL does this with Amazon Prime streaming their Thursday night games live....would be interesting if the CFL could swing deal like that with another platform. I know TSN would likely have issues...but if it's not on cable tv I wonder if there is a way to get it done. I'm assuming TSN likely has broadcasting rights...but I wonder if that also includes streaming.

Every business I've been apart of 100% make media releases on deals that don't go through. They really like the idea of the public knowing that they're in financial hell and still can't get outside investors. Optically it's amazing for every aspect of the business!

Yeah the Canadian Ratio won't work...but a Ratio of some kind absolutely could. I don't think the Global players one would as that is basically the same as a Canadian one...it doesn't avoid the issue of taking away "american jobs". So a local college/state etc makes the most sense. Like has been mentioned the Ratio doesn't have to be "canadian". But also, I really should cancel my cable. That's crazy cheap compared to what I'm paying to watch like 3 channels.

Well said. It's like you took the words right out of my mouth. I honestly didn't know we have so many people on this forum who have deep knowledge of the pocket books of this league. And know exactly what the future holds for things like the global players etc. TV deals are definitely never going to come from that stuff....We've had commish after commish try to grow the league here and they've all failed. Everyone of them. Which why the league is in the state it is now. But I suppose that's Ambrosies fault too? Trying new things isn't bad, if you never try you'll never know. On top of that. The commish is not and never has been a dictator. The board of governors aren't just place holders. They absolutely have a say. But that fact never seems to hit home for people. My biggest fault with Ambrosie is how he's handled the CFLPA. That baffles me. Everything else is him taking a shot to change the revenue streams for the league which (as we're seeing now) has been desperately needed for some time.
