Hillbillies at Back 2 Back Champs Banjo Bowl Early talk
I think people also need to remember what we saw last year isn't sustainable. That was a once in a generation defense. Anyone who came into the year thinking we'd replicate that was bound to be let down. The defence is still great, just not history making great.

I actually messaged my buddy who was at the game saying I thought Bryant jumped early. Glad the refs didn't see it lol

Labour Day Week non Back-to-Back Champs games
Edm has two key pieces in Corny and now this Brown RB. He has looked fantastic this game.

Labour Day Week non Back-to-Back Champs games
I'm surprised it's not a penalty honestly. A player would never be able to talk like that to an official. Why is a coach allowed?

Yeah thats not how the penalty works. You can't call illegal downfiled blocking if no pass is ever thrown.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDT
Considering how the game played out, scoring a TD by handing it off was probably more likely.

2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
I see Zylstra has been released. Another guy I'd love to see here. Don't really think he fits with what the bombers need...but would be a steal!!

Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
I agree. He will always have that window open. I'm simply saying, if he doesn't stick down there this year and decides to come back to the CFL. He will be in the CFL for years before he gets another shot.

None of those are QB's. All the players listed that have done NFL then CFL then NFL again are not QBs AND either had NFL experience prior to the CFL, or bad luck in college that dropped them off NFL radar AND played more than 1 CFL season between NFL shots. People, including you. Are suggesting he will have a shot again at the NFL if he comes back to the CFL this year and plays mainly a back up roll. That has 100% never ever happened, no name players included. It doesn't happen. We all know the NFL is a different beast/business and their QB's are a level above that. Two of the greatest CFL qb's of all time barely got sniffs after lighting the CFL up for years. The greatest of all time(Flutie), even after playing well in the NFL still got screwed cause he didn't have the pedigree NFL owners want. Streveler being a QB makes his NFL window shorter than any other position.

Kongbo doesn't fit the example for multiple reasons. 1) before he was hurt in college he was GOING to be drafted in the NFL. It was even seen as a risky pick by the Bombers because Kongbo was seen as an NFL level talent. 2) Kongbo has not spent multiple years jumping from team to team. He tried out, got hurt, was released and came back to the CFL and then went down again all of that happened over the course of 2 offseasons and 1 CFL season. 3) Kongbo is not a QB/the face of the franchise. I don't do homework on things that haven't ever happened.

And how many guys do we see come up BACK to the CFL for half a year, only to get another shot at the NFL right after? Especially a guy who has spent 3 years down there...that just doesn't happen...nevermind adding in the fact he's a QB.

Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
I'm saying this is his last shot. Year 3(?) jumping from PR to PR with some games here and there. The NFL isn't a wait and see what happens league for an undrafted middle aged (By NFL standards) QB. Every team in the NFL is aware of what he can and can't do at this point, especially after this preseason. Coming back up to the CFL for half a year to play backup QB isnt suddenly going to make a team notice him. To the NFL he is what he is. If he doesn't find a spot, his next opportunity will come AFTER/IF he lights the CFL on fire for a few years.

Also I don't buy the come up here for some more film/stay sharp...and try again. This is his LAST shot (for multiple years anyway). If he can't find an NFL home before the end of the year, he's a CFL'er.

I bet BC is closer to the cap than a lot of people think. They have a lot of money tied up in the Rec. and their defensive back field. Rourke on the 6 game isn't saving them much as he was making under 100k I believe. Honestly his BEST option in terms of playing/being paid might be SSK (assuming Cody is 6 gamed) or Hamilton.

I feel like he would fit right in on the Lions. Their coach very much reminds me of Oshea...hard nosed football!
