Right now, the key concept, when over viewing the US political scene, seems to be just..... a whole lot of anger. Angry Trump voters....disenchanted with both the Democrats as well as the Republican mainstream. Mistrustful and frustrated about the economy, jobs etc - viewing "big government", immigrants, liberals and media as the enemy... or in this particular campaign....the "Politics as usual" Angry non-Trump voters......watching the first week of Trump's egomania, narcissism, xenophobia, petulance, serial lying and knee jerking, ham handed actions... The US is Just not a happy place....sane discourse on just about any issues seems well nigh impossible, at this stage. Total hothouse.

Listening to Trump, and his blaring mouthpieces..... "Alt-right Breitbart" Bannon and Kellyanne "Alternative Facts" Conway.....make me reach for my gin....and my Orwell.

Loved Richie, but... frankly, he didn't like giving playing time to the younguns, and eventually the vet players were checking out on him. Lyle Bauer wanted somebody who he would not knock heads with. Just before a western swing, Richie publicly begged his vets to step forward (and save his job). They proceed to get bombed in Calgary and Edmonton, looking pretty inept in the process....and that was all she wrote for Dave. But the point is well taken, that firing guys was one thing.....but replacing them with vastly inferior people, was another. We have a pretty dismal track record, in that regard.....
