I don't see it as much of a gamble. He looked like a star Canadian receiver last season while healthy. The risk is solely on his health and if he lands on the 6-game it doesn't count against the cap anyways. What were people expecting? You had to know he would be getting over 100k.

I still think there is room for JSK, Wild and a free agent like Larry "James" Dean or Bear "James" Woods. I seem to recall people saying Wild signed a very reasonable contract because he wanted to stay in Winnipeg.

I'm glad they were able to work something out. I'm sure Fogg saw all the DBs heading for FA and signed a reasonable deal. We've put a lot of time into developing him as a DB and returner so hopefully that pays off.

I'd be surprised if that got it done but it all depends on the current market. Like for example I don't think we could get Brassard (not that I want him anyways) for a first-rounder and Petan. It would probably be more like a first-rounder, Roslovic, and something else. I guess we will see if anyone bites.

True but we've seen some wild stuff in the past. We got a first rounder and Dano for Ladd while Brassard is arguably a better player, a centre, and has term left on his deal.

An interesting darkhorse candidate could be Reggie Northrup who is a pending free agent from the Alouettes. He only got into 4 games near the end of the season but had 22 tackles. 6'1", 231 lbs, 24 years old. 281 tackles in 49 games at FSU.

150k for Westerman? No chance. He's been an all star quality Canadian DE for 3 years. Someone is going to pay him big money.
