Bridge didn't look good at all. Not capable of being a starting CFL qb. I guess Higgins felt it was better to bring Cato back. He sure made the right choice.Oh, definitely. I just wonder how Bridge beat out Cato in the first place. They wanted the publicity of having a Canadian QB on the roster but never thought they would actually have to play their #3.

If nothing else, this season has demonstrated the importance of QB depth. Ricky Ray will have a job somewhere. At the very least, Ottawa would probably dump Burris if Ray was available. Even if no one wanted him as a starter, he could still make 200k as a backup somewhere. I don't see him giving that up for a 60k/year job as a QB coach. If he is still physically able to play, someone will sign him.

It's nice to see our Canadian starters performing. All of them played well last night. Even Jesse Briggs and Graig Newman looked good when they got in the game for Hurl and Bass. Hell, Jake Thomas had a couple nice plays when he got in. Really encouraging game from that standpoint.

Im starting to dislike Cotton. He was like a newcomer on this offense out there considering he is the starting RB. I would like us to promote Marshall up, move Scott as #2 and sit Cotton for now. I hate to be negative on such a positive day, but that's probably because MB's running plays aren't very good. His plays do well with Marshall cause Marshall just pounds it through. It makes a big difference when the RB can push the pile and get 5 yards on first down rather than 2 or 3. Makes everyone's job easier.

All refs make mistakes in all sports but the CFL is particularly bad for it. No need to get all defensive. The CFL has an officiating problem regardless of how many excuses you make for them.

Certainly there has been some evidence of cronyism in the past. Bauer wanting his guys (Kelly, Daley) instead of Berry, Ritchie. The Board hiring Joe Mack. However I would say this current regime doesn't have that particular stench.

I still think Sutter could be worth that, I like him as a player and I don't think he's anywhere near his ceiling. But a contract like that, based purely on potential, I don't know... They better hope he develops like they want him to. So many ways for a contract like that to go bad.

Toth will find work in no time. I think the radio industry in general has to re-think their business model. CJOB is still a ratings powerhouse (even though they slipped to second spot), and even they can barely keep their heads above water. I don't think radio will disappear any time soon but it can't be run the way it used to be.
