Exactly. I'd be shocked if more than 4 make it to a real NFL training camp this year. And 4 players is nothing to make a big deal about.

Yeah but all those guys were in camp. Addison Richards and Taylor Loffler for example were in Giants mini-camp then bombers training camp.

    Hopefully the car wasn't damaged.

  5. May as well get a look at the pups now
  6. If that's the case then the Leafs fans were right all along saying Matthews deserves the Calder because he's playing with weaker linemates
  7. I'd have no problem with hiring a new goalie coach and I agree that it's silly to give up on quality prospects without at least seeing if a new coach can help. But if you think Flaherty hasn't tried to coach Hellebuyck's shitty glove-hand out of him I think you're mistaken... I just can't fathom a pro goalie coach being that blind.

There's a big difference between signing a deal and just going to camp. The top 20-ish guys were in an NFL mini-camp last year but only 4 actually signed NFL deals if I recall correctly. I'm not worried about a guy going to mini-camp, even if maybe 1-5% of them do end up getting deals. I'm willing to take that small risk.

Silly premise, guns have little to do with mental health

Maybe we should look at why North Americans have more "mental health issues" than any other society on earth
  11. The common denominator is that none of them are really that good. I don't have an opinion one way or another on Flaherty but I think you are overestimating the impact of a goalie coach.

Yeah I'm sure the Muslims getting gunned down in Quebec were thanking their lucky stars we have gun control in Canada
  13. What love? I just haven't ruled him out as a potential future starter.
  14. Sorry I should have said it's clear to me. As it was at the outset of this season. It may take a little longer for it to become clear to everyone else.

When the **** hits the fan and 50% of people have a gun and 50% of people don't..... what side would you rather be on?
  16. We may have a future starter but his name ain't Hellebuyck, it's Comrie. And he's not ready. So we have some room to sign a starter for some money and term. Sure, Helle can backup (so could any number of other goalies). Best goalie coach in the world isn't fixing that kid. He is a career backup.
  17. I think it's become clear that Hellebuyck is a bum. Priority 1 this offseason is finding a starting goalie.
  18. No way.... front row centre in the upper bowl "overhang" are the best

I'm fine with our starting OL and having Neufeld, Couture, and Foketi as depth is actually quite good. Now add in Zachary Intzandt and a first round pick and the OL is looking far better than I can remember in the last decade.... maybe more. Maybe not enough room to keep Neufeld around though.

People called Kyle Connor a bust? He wasn't ready for the NHL but that doesn't make him a bust. I guess I don't listen to the radio much any more but I haven't heard anyone call him a bust.

Miz absolutely killed it in the John Cena parody.

It's a pretty common thought applied to many "defensive defenceman" prospects. Most of what they do is based on their "reads" and reads are a lot easier when the opposition is playing a coherent system. The more "pond hockey" the other team is playing, the harder it is for a smart defenceman to do his job because it's difficult to read the next move of someone making it up as they go along.

Don't really understand how they can afford Olafioye but not Foucault. Olafioye isn't exactly on a cheap contract. Foucault looking for 165k+ ????
  24. Cheerfully withdrawn. Yes they do but it would be odd to pick 3 goalies who are currently under contract on one-way deals. I suspect they will try to get a big money guy with some term (Varlamov?), a young NHL up-and-comer (Grubauer?) , and a young guy or two who can start in the AHL. Maybe Hellebuyck can fit in there but I would bet after this year that he wouldn't be a prime target for Vegas especially with guys like Armia, Dano, Lowry, and Myers on the table. If we could acquire Fleury for example, we could keep him as the starter and Helle as the backup and safely protect Fleury while not losing Hellebuyck. Such is my thought right now.
