Seemed like JSK was at WILL for both pre-season games. I didn't see much of training camp. I believe he was an inside LB in college.

I don't recall Buff ever being that effective in front of the net. Yes he is large and takes up a lot of space. But I don't think it has ever really worked since he was in Chicago. That's a long time ago.

I have a hard time agreeing. Just because a guy loses the title doesn't mean he's out of the picture. Neville has dominated the cruiserweight scene for months. So he has to take a step back for a bit... who cares? He still gets paid... and he would be back on top in no time anyways. This reminds me of Ryback quitting after a year when he won the IC Title and the US Title because he felt like he wasn't getting enough respect. His career was at its highest point and he walked away because he thought he should be world champ. Stupid. It's a long career if you play it right, and there are ups and downs for everyone.

He was also asked to block more than any other back in the league over the last 2 years, with almost no threat of him running (often getting 5 carries or less per game). It's a tough assignment and yeah, there are going to be misses. I think he got a bit of a rough ride playing in an offence that was so pass-heavy for so long.

Well, I guess he is either hurt and this is a non-story, or he is not hurt and we will be hearing more as the days go on. Certainly it would seem that if he was close enough to maybe play on Monday, he should be in the lineup Thursday. We'll see.

If Poolman is actually better than Buff, he would stay in, I have no doubt about that. But that conversation can't even happen yet because he has played one game and while it was very encouraging, he still just played a safe, average-level game. It's nice that he didn't get lit up. But Buff has years of all-star level play on his resume. It takes a lot more than a decent game with 15 minutes TOI to knock a guy like that out of the lineup.

Fleury got what... one game once he was healthy?

He was a rookie. Players do get better over their careers.

I didn't see the game with Campbell on colour. But it is very unusual to have a non-league-veteran doing colour.... in any sport. IMO they are there for their insider experience.

Pretty sure Poolman played with Toby. Woah! One game. Pump the brakes. That's a fan/media thing. You'll never hear a coach say that.
