Is Canada the only country to pay a citizen a settlement because they were unable or uninterested in removing them from gitmo? There were/are a lot detanies in gitmo, is he the only one that was a citizen of the developed world?

I agree that he commited crime. I disagree that he should have been sent to Guantanamo bay, or that a facility like that should even operate in what could be described as the civilised portion of the world. I also think it's your m.o. to post silly things like 'even the head of war child thinks he's guilty' just to argue with people.

It's not really a semantic when the entire position of the organization is based around how war children should be treated. Maybe you weren't lying but at least confused about the distinction. Probably better word choice in the future. Lol.

You were lying though, or at the very least confused about the distinction between the following . She didn't say he was guilty she said he committed a crime. Two different things. By saying she thinks he's guilty you imply she agreed with the findings of the gitmo court.

You're wrong. My objection to the term guilty was in my first response to you posting the quote.

I was rude but you were wrong. The organization's opinion is that war children shouldn't tried for war crimes so it's pretty hard to consider them guilty of somesomething they can't be tried for as per the Geneva convention. Oh and my objection to the word guilty was in my first response to you posting the quote.

The crux of the issue is with the term guilty. Having done done something and being found guilty of something are two different things. Suggesting that she admitted he was guilty implies that she agreed with the trying and convicting of war children. Does that seems like that organizations position? Again to be 100% Crystal clear, my issue is with the term guilty.

I'll apologize for the fact that I was so snarky. I also didn't understand where you were going with with your factually incorrect quote, never the less it still isnt factual. War childs opinion os that child soldier are victims and not criminals.

"What's interesting, the head of War Child, which I guess is a lobby group that tries to stop children being used as soldiers, while being critical of Canada acknowledged that there is no doubt Khadr is guilty" I'll admit being snarky wasn't a great tactic and was wrong. But your above quote is completely wrong. It suggest that war child thinks that 15 year olds should be sent to gitmo and tried as adults and found guilty. They think he's a war child, a victim, not a adult convicted of war crimes. regardless of what actions they'll admit that he did.

It was snarky because you are obvious cherry picking a quote from somone who couldn't share your opinion less to suit your agenda.

The whole premise of war child as an organisation is that 'war children ' are not war criminals and should not be treated and convicted like adults. That is the distinction between commiting a crime and being guilty of it.
-

It wasn't wholy accurate. Show me where it shows her saying he's guilty.

I didn't say he didnt do anything. I'm saying that the director of war child, admiting that children commit criminal acts, as war children, when being used as tools of war is not an intersting fact. Because the freaking organization doesn't exist if that isn't happening. I find it interesting you are so quick to point out her opinion on that and summarily disregard what she thinks a war child is or how they should be treated.

You said that she says he was GUILTY ie like it was interesting that she agreed with the findings of the US sham court that convicted him at Guantanamo bay. Why would it be interesting that somone that works at war child admits that children are used in war. Lol

You think Guantanamo bay was a summer camp?

Hey why don't you post the quote. Pretty obvious from the war child website that isn't her opinion. http://newsroom.warchild.ca/releases/omar-kadhr-why-canada-should-take-back-its-troubled-child/

Did you read this on an alt right blog or something and were silly enough to think it was true? Only took about 3 seconds to look up on war child's website Dr Samantha Nutt's opinion of the situation.
