I don't fault the league and TSN for at least trying to create some content... maybe we don't like how it's being done, but they're trying to create some buzz ahead of the season...

This is a fair question that I don't have an answer for.... Would love to talk to TSN football producers about it.

We're getting CFLs video feed for sure... Basically the in house Jumbotron feed. But the ACTUAL production... Like using Dome Productions.... Is extremely expensive. I'm not saying the people who do in house production aren't good, but the actual broadcast technician crew is very costly.

Also, theme nights....

We have Petric at the home opener and I'm ******* pumped. Love those boys.

So just for what it's worth... Production of live sports is incredibly expensive for broadcasters and just not worth it unless you can charge really high ad rates. When TSN radio didn't get the last Jets rights, it was actually considered somewhat of a win, because they could still do the Pre/Intermission/Post stuff, and not have to worry about carrying the cost of the broadcast (which MOST people are watching on TV anyhow). So anyhow, for TSN... They can't charge high ad rates for the pre season broadcasts because there aren't enough people watching... And without the high rates, they can't afford the broadcast. And, no, even if you wanted to say "well if they did a better job then maybe more people would watch!!" people just wouldn't... It's pre season CFL... As much as we diehards love it, there's not that many viewers. Not enough to make it worth their while anyhow. And yes they are the league's partner so they are supposed to take some risk to support the league but they're still a business and it has to make business sense for them to do anything.

Calgary way better than you think. Might finish second. Sask worse than you think. Don't be fooled by pre season. That's all I've got. Oh, and not a hot take but our season will be determined by health. Injury big seems to have hit hard and hit early this year. Hoping that's not a sign of things to come. If our core pieces play most or all of the season, we'll be alright.

Hilarious INTs from MBT....

Riders barely won with the LOLks in their usual form. MBT was a hot mess which was fun to watch. The crowing and strutting coming from The Gap over the next couple weeks will be hilarious... Evergreen post that could be from 2019 or today ...

Grant has to be the best ever. Stokes was good but as each generation is better than the last, I'm not sure anyone has been as good as Grant.
