I just see some good assets in Marve I'd hate to rush the guy into a poor situation and ruin him like we've done with so many quarterbacks in the past. Really the way the D was playing yesterday there was no chance to win that game.

Defensive line without a second thought. It's the same as on offence, it all starts in the trenches and if you lose that battle you've lost the war.

I think you are confusing fanbois with fans who just want to see a QB in for us who is going to have the best chance of winning. With Willy's noggin getting a'floggin' (Ned Flanders h/t) a lot of us don't see Brohm as that guy. No there are definitely fanbois out there. You put a gun to my head I prefer Marve over Brohm too, but I get where the coaches are coming from here. Brohm is more of a pro at this point compared to the very raw Marve. Some people though, they act like Brohm is a moustache twirling villian and Marve is the hero who will fix everything wrong with the team. It's just so over the top.

Intent doesn't matter for the flag on that play. He hit Willy right in the ear hole should be an automatic flag. I mean it's a flag if a guys hand accidentally brushes a qbs helmet. There's not grey area here, either the guy is hit in the head and it's a flag or he wasn't hit in the head and there's no penalty. Fines and suspensions sure you can argue about that, but there 100% should have been a flag on that play because you can not strike the qb in the head under any circumstances.

I've been waiting for him to poop his pants and he hasn't done it yet. Meanwhile, I watched Brohm play the whole second half weighed down by pants full of poop. I'm not sure how wishing one of our most promising QB prospects in years poops his pants helps the team, or anyone for that matter, but what happens if Marve goes in and lights it up? Five years from now are you guys still going to be waiting to do the Nelson "Ha ha" when Marve eventually does have a bad outing? Hey I like Marve a lot just because he's an exciting player that seems to be able to make it work no matter how ugly it is and I want him to turn into a star... but the fan club has gotten to the point where it's annoying. I am convinced that Brohm could throw 80% completions and a few tds and people would still be screaming for Marve. Just so over the top I kinda want to see how the fanbois react to a tough outing by their shining star.

The fact that there was no flag on the play was disgusting, the fact that TSN went out of their way to never mention that it was a head shot is disgusting as well. Not one person on the broadcast brought up the missed flag there.

And if the Bombers hadn't turned the ball over to them so many times for instant points it might have been 600.Just pitiful that we came into camp saying we needed a better DL and the one we got looks worse. Oh how I miss the guys like Alex Hall or Phil Hunt. Walters appears to have failed miserably at recruiting for the teams biggest needs this offseason. That's bs.. The o line was the biggest need and he did that. Turner and westerman both were seen as great players. Randle was loved last season by even you. I don't pin this on Walters .. I blame the coach big time. We did better last year with Kuale!!! This purely is on the system and who he has playing where. He signed free agents for the OL. Westerman was seen as a great player cause he was a canadian from the NFL, turns out he's nothing special so far. Turner might still be great but the duo at DT is not getting the job done. One of them needs to be upgraded. Peach is better as a depth guy than the top DE, we need a better DE. that's 2 positions that need big upgrades on the DL before we can even think about having a good defence. Football is a pretty simple game and if you can't do basic things like pressure a qb you're gonna have a bad time and based on 2 games, our DL is pitiful

if they'd actually stuck to the ignoring canon thing with Star Trek it could have been the best thing to happen to the franchise because it's so bogged down with ridiculous canon it's unworkable. Instead they decided that Into Darkness should be a crappy Wrath of Kahn/Undiscovered Country mashup with nods to every piece of canon out there.

I suspect that he is being miscast. He`s always been on the smaller side for a DT and would likely benefit from playing next to a Doug Brown type who can just move people out of the way.

More concerned about the DL than LBs right now, but I will say I like Randle a lot better at corner than LB.

Think he let them get a little too confident in themselves That`s how it came across in the post game show to me too. Think he allowed guys heads to get a bit too big and was too pleased with how practise went.

Too much worrying about the qbs after this game in my opinion. The Bombers scored a touchdown on their first possession by doing what they did in Saskatchewan and having a good mix of running and passing plays.... but then Bellefool did what he does and when the D folded like a cheap suit he got Drew Willy killed by forgetting he has a couple good rbs on the roster and exposing Willy to a constant and effective blitz. So then the backup goes in and logic says help the guy out with a strong run game.... but nope he puts him in the pocket and exposes him to the same blitzes. He's lucky he didn't get Brohm killed either. I said it all offseason, Bellefool is a problem at OC and he needs to go. As for the D, in my mind the defensive line is the biggest problem. Hall has always had a soft D, he doesn`t have a DL that can pressure this is what you get. Peach is his usual uniform filling self, Westerman looks more like Busterman and Turner and Anderson aren`t doing much of anything in the middle. Need a real threat at DE and a big time DT in there ASAP to turn this around cause the DL is getting abused consistently through 2 games.

Recall if you will a game when Glenn was here and Edmonton just started rushing only 2 players and dropping everyone else back because they gave up even trying to get to Glenn. With Glenn though you need to hit him cause he is a giant puss when he gets hit and he goes away after a couple good licks on him.

You really get the sense with STID that the writers made a list of big "scenes" they wanted and then tried to put some sort of connecting story between them. Im sure the idea of the Enterprise rising out of the ocean was great (it looked fantastic) but made little sense. But their standard response was "this is a new universe". Except they wanted to jerk off fans with canonical references every three minutes to show their Trek cred. Just brutal. Khan goes from a dark skinned latino playing an Indian to a pasty brit. Makes sense. Im SUPER looking forward to Terminator! This is how most big action movies are written these days and it's making them suck because of it. just tying together big action sequences with little regard to proper character development or story telling. Orci and his sidekick who's name escapes me now are the biggest perpetrators of this and everything they touch stinks.

Worse part - I know we all dump on Rogers for their Hockey coverage but what if TSN got it and put the buffoons they have like Rod Black on hockey duty (they'd have too to many games). Yikes I still hate the '3' key guys they show at the beginning of the game. I want to see the starting lineups for each side, offense and defense. They can have three guys hilighted but c'mon man, really. Total bush league This x1000000. Probably my biggest complaint about TSN's coverage. Bigtime leagues show the starting lineups every game (NFL, NHL, MLB, Soccer). Comes off like TSN figures most viewers are casual and and could care less about the players outside of the "name" guys. Very bush league. And yes no more ingame interviews. That's what halftime or between the quarters is for. This is part of the big problem with TSN. They decide on a story line before the game starts and gotta stick to the script on that. It's bullshit because the game unfolding before us should be the only story line they need. Treating the audience like imbeciles and I hate it.

Or much preferable to me, disregard power rankings, get wins.
