Thorpe tried to resign in the off-season even though he had 2 years left on his contract which has no escape clause. There was talk of his becoming DC in Edmonton. Good post. One minor correction - Richards had 2 catches.

He's the only player who was inducted strictly as a punter. There are other kickers in the HoF who did both punting and placekicking but it could be argued they were inducted more for their placekicking than punting.

I looked at the entry on his blog and he didn't say anything about dominance. Did you misread "decadence" as "dominance"? And Rod seems to have edited the entry because the years are included anymore.

Trump did an interview the other day with Jake Tapper who asked him whether his comments about the judge from the Trump University lawsuit were racist. Tapper asked it 23 times before he got a yes/no answer from Trump.

You don't have to name any others. All people have to do is look at the list of the nominees for the Ring because everyone of those players deserve it.

There are 19 players and a coach listed in the voting for this season's inductees. All of them are worthy of the honour. And you can bet there are those who will argue they missed some really good players from the list. You can't compare hockey and baseball to football due to roster size and number restrictions.

That doesn't make sense even when ignoring the hyperbole. If they offered him that type of money then it would go against everything they've said about market correction, etc. and would be well above what last year's picks got.

I think what we have already is better. I can't imagine a traffic circle at Portage & Main would go over to well with the masses.

The lawyer for the victim negotiated the plea bargain. The victim and her family did not want Polanski sent back to prison after he had served the 42 days - long before the lawsuit. I'm with Iso on one thing, I think we need to agree to disagree.

Don't be obtuse. I've said multiple times what he did was wrong. i support the victim in this. If she wanted Polanski extradited and throw in jail I'd be all for it. But she doesn't and it's her opinion that matters to me.
