Can any team in the CFL tackle this year?

Say what you want about Stephen Harper ... but I think the TiCat offence would be better off with him at QB.

Brett Maher = STPOTW Terrible clock management by the redblacks, tho, leaving Ricky Ray with 30 seconds.

I spent two long years as a Rough Rider season ticket holder in 1995 & 1996. The team won six games over those two years. You think the Bombers have been a circus the past few years? They've been a Swiss bank compared to the Glieberman / Firestone / Chen years in Ottawa. There are a ton of great football fans in Ottawa, would love to see the Rouge et Noir reward them with a win.

Bonus Do or Die Detailed Half Time Report
I'm thinking that Willy wanted to hit JFG in flight, but JFG wasn't running and couldn't adjust, and that's how the ball wound up overthrown.

Fringe Festival
Me and the spouse are checking out some Fringe shows while we're in town this weekend. We're going to see: Aiden Flynn Lost His Brother So He Made Another Caws and Effect Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Hopefully they will be more entertaining than the Bomber game this weekend. Anyone else going?

The Restaurant thread
Had late after-game dinner last night at the Logan Corner Chinese restaurant. It was amazing, much better than I expected for late-night Chinese. The pork dumplings were fantastic; the butter chicken is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. It's not butter chicken like the Indian dish; it's battered and fried. Tender, fresh and delicious. Then we had to go out to Crown Mazda to get our car's AC fixed and we wound up eating at Chicken Chef on west Portage just near the Perimeter Highway. Got the perogie dinner. Very good chicken and mashed potatos, but perogies were fried to be hard and dry. Got an enormous portion with tons of bacon for the perogies. I brought home half of it.

GDT: Edmonton @ Winnipeg
pre-game late lunch @ Shawarma Khan for me & the mrs. Delicious, the best shawarma I've had in a while. The hot sauce was choice!

Just watched the replay of the Als game
I've been on teams when they believe in one another & no matter if they're losing, they believe they can win. It's powerful, believe me. And a team like that doesn't come together very often. When everyone has each others back & believes the guy next to him does too as well as trusting he will do his job... GREAT THINGS happen. It all starts with the head coach & his coaches... Yeah, the best teams I ever played on weren't dominant, they were the teams that would bail each other out of trouble. D gives up an easy TD or goal? O gets it back. O turns the ball over? D forces a punt or turnover. Those were my favorite teams to play for.

Wpg v. Edm
This is the one game I'm going to get to see at IGF this year. When I booked my trip in June I picked this game because it worked with my schedule and now holy crap it's a first place showdown.

Bomber Week 3 Game vs Montreal Coming To Youtube
USABomberFan, you are the man. I was travelling this week and didn't get a chance to tune in live and have been avoiding spoilers in the hopes that the game would be available somewhere. Thanks for coming through for me!

Grigsby
I wonder when we'll see all the plays from training camp that are going to feature Woods in a Thigpen-ish way?
-
Andre Durie out 6-8 weeks
Yeah, big Durie fan here too. Hope his recovery goes smoothly.

MTL 24 BC 2
Paxson also laid out Glenn with a casual shove after the lateral. Insult to injury!

Any updates on Willy's hand?
It's weird that with all the teams that are even more desperate for OL help than we are ... BC, Hamilton, Edmonton ... you'd figure someone would make a move to get Peach. When was the last time a CFL team raided another team's practice roster?

Evaluating our punting game
Raw punting yardage doesn't tell the whole story. What's his net yardage after returns and how many times has he punted out of bounds with no return? How do these numbers compare with the rest of the league's punters? Answer those questions and I think we'll have a better idea of how good our punting game is. (Edit: yeah, pretty much exactly what iso said)

Coaching differences....
Back in the nineties when I played men's league touch football in Ottawa, I wore #59 because of MOS. Always been a huge fan of his and it's so awesome that he's turning the Blue around.

Drew Willy trending downward?
I wonder if we could deal Buck to Montreal? I don't know exactly where they'd use him tho; he'd be their best QB and their best offensive coach.

2014 O-Line
Remember that the worst of the OL play came with Goossen subbed in at guard. Guy is still super raw. It's not our starting OL that worries me, it's the depth. If Greaves or any other starter is out for any length of time, that lack of depth will be exposed.

Drew Willy trending downward?
We need to trade Willy while he still has value. How about: To MTL: Drew Willy Paul Swiston 4th round pick To WPG Troy Smith S.J. Green 6th round pick in 2015

Closer Look at Canadian Depth
I am loving the way Dan West is covering kicks. Guy's playing like a missile right now. Also think that Bucknor is a pretty solid tackler, he's made a couple big solo tackles that I've seen.

Beyond the Box Score
These breakdowns are golden, Mike, thanks for doing them!
