  1. "Receiver Kisses Quarterback's Ass Shocker" news at 11.

Playing the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster has me thinking that studios like Virtuos ought to pull off this same trick with most of our classic favorites.
  3. This brings an idea to mind... @Noeller as the resident musicologist, you should start a thread (here or in the General forum) to compile a Bombers/Football/Season-is-coming Playlist. Get a few pages of engagement and then post a playlist everyone can share.
  4. Yup. That and the fact that he is our star QB, we have a backup that we know we can win games with, and that our current and future prospects for success hinge on Kelly's 100% recovery makes it and easy decision to put him on the IR.
  5. Or... hear me out: I could file it under "CFL Non Bomber Off Season Thread"
  6. After coming back ahead of schedule, Kelly was dressed but didn't participate yesterday. Scuttlebutt from the likes of Barker is that he didn't feel good after his first practice. Might be that he starts the year on the IR and Arbuckle steers the ship for 6 games. (We play Calgary and Saskatchewan and 4 East teams in them).
  7. If there’s one player—just one—in the entire Canadian Football League who absolutely screams 'poster boy for performance-enhancing drugs,' it’s got to be Zachary J. Collaros. I mean, the sheer physical dominance, the unstoppable power, the jaw-dropping speed... it’s almost too obvious, right?

That settles it. The HU should play halftime at GC.
  9. Mike Hogan's annual Inside The War Room piece is up. He spends draft day with the Argos player department and does a revealing writeup every year. Certain rules apply, ie: he isn't allowed to talk specifically about trades that don't get over the line or players who they don't draft but wanted. It was of particular interest to us this season since Vince Magri moved on to the Bills, we didn't know if it was all Murphy and Dinwiddie or what... Turns out it was an internal promotion of Video/Scouting/QC Coach Marcus Grandison. Sounds like he played a big role too. https://www.argonauts.ca/2025/05/01/hogan-inside-the-argos-war-room-3/
  10. That was my thought. In a backwards kind of way, it actually makes him a "safer" pick.
  11. I am not an expert or even a follower of college or u sport football. I only go by what the consensus of the 8 or so pundits who go deep into this stuff is and sort of take their average. Based on that I think the Argos had a good draft day... No receivers was the only surprise for me, but I suppose that with 5 national receivers on the roster that it wasn't a great need.
  12. Anyone else see that picture and wonder if the bull jumped the fence...?

I have two pals who are of Turkish descent and that is precisely how they judge a man.

Yeah. If yesterday someone told me that Bell Media had one SVP of both Content and Sales it would've raised my eyebrows since those are the the two biggest and most important departments at a massive media company. I would've replied to the person who informed me of Bell Media having just one guy as the point man for those "Impressive. That man must be an ace." If they then said that they wondered if the CFL could ever get that guy to head up the league, I'd have expressed great doubt at the possibility. Good get.

They'd be Hamilton's only GC representation this millenium.

Strawberry Vanilla, Liverpool & Bayly in Pickering.
  18. I’d bet my weight in gold that if asked about the CFL, our former Prime Minister (now a "statesperson," according to Google) would tilt his head, raise his eyebrows, and gaze wistfully into the distance before reminiscing about that moment at Exhibition Stadium. He’d recall Tony Gabriel’s iconic Grey Cup-winning touchdown catch—how, without hesitation, Gabriel ran straight to young Justin, just five years old and only beginning to grasp that destiny had marked him for greatness. Handing him the ball, Gabriel would have told him that one day, he would grow into a great man, a protector of women and the disadvantaged across this great nation…
  19. You are Jake Thomas and I claim my $5.
  20. Glad to hear it! I haven't observed that Bomber fans congregate in a particular section. That pretty much only happens when Hamilton or Montreal attend. Just try not to be on the East side for an evening game - the setting sun is blinding. Let me know which game and we'll meet up at the TG.
  21. Hard disagree. You're welcoming the world to your country. You don't send them to Edmonchuk. (I say this as someone who quite likes Edmonton and have extended family there who I'm overdue to visit. Never been there in winter though)
  22. We all enjoy when our rivals have eras of futility and spin their tires in the mud. Speaking for myself, in seasons where the Argos don't win it all I find it a source of comfort and laughter that the TiCats are still without a win in this millenium.
  23. Adding 17k temporary seats make the most sense. Argos/TFC haven't shown that they need a permanent facility for more than the 28k that BMO can hold. And we still have the concrete pimple if we need a place to hold 50k for something.
  24. Yeah, you may need to workshop some new talking points and subject matter. Honestly, if you'd just hang on until BMO gets its 45k seat conversion, the jokes will write themselves.
  25. From a timeline point of view... one could postulate that Alford going south was the downturn point of the Bombers' fortunes.
