It is a plague and a travesty. And the same anger that they often present with, is what you get when you try to gently steer someone away from it

There was some logic to the strategy. Their rifles weren't very accurate, so you could kill more soldiers if you created a concentrated burst of fire The strategy persisted long after the American Revolution. Hell - WWI strategy wasn't much better.

Absolutely. And watch just one thing from Fox on say, youtube, and their algorithm bombards you with similar propaganda. It is quite hard for older people (for example) to navigate and decipher fact from fiction. In dealing with people who I would describes as 'victims of propaganda and confirmation bias' I find that the social media algorithms create by far the largest amount of harm
  4. Yep. The kind of stuff that goes unnoticed. Gavin Walls was always very good at his gap responsibilities.

Bass can be a ton of fun, when you get on top of a school. I was on a lake in the Kenora area a few years ago - excellent bass bite.
  6. A shorter passing game only works to a certain extent. Once it's obvious that he's not going downfield very often, opposing Ds will crank up the pressure.
  7. Maybe the extra hits will be beneficial.

I agree. But he can't be ignored.

I think this is a fair point. He was being written off right up until he was elected President.
  10. It's the greatest. We should add Fireball.

Outshot 40-23. Tons of traffic, plenty of point shots, plenty of tipped shots. The rubber was going to find the back of the net, no matter who was in there. No chance on the disallowed goals either.
  12. Bah humbug - we haven't even had a good blizzard.
  13. Yeah, the Bombers have pretty much proven that that formula doesn't work A cheaper QB with higher priced talent around him, gets you approximately 11 - 7 and an early playoff exit The odd time, a team like that will fluke their way to a championship - but it's a very unsafe bet

Yes. Remember that Mark Stobbe case? He was only living in Manitoba because the NDP were in power at the time - he'd moved over from another province.

How did we not start this thread 10 years ago? Like all good fisher people - I assume y'all drink your whiskey neat out of a yeti?

Same. We were jigging with sucker belly or trolling with lures, up on Kississing. Caught big boys and eaters.

I am referring to smaller ones. Anything over 20" went back in the lake

Lake Trout were very good fresh out of the lake. I have some in the freezer - a bit apprehensive about what they'll taste like Ice fished walleye are still good after months in the freezer - if you package them in a ziplock bag with some water

I'll agree to disagree on the mariahs. A Manitoba walleye caught through the ice is the best eating fish on the planet Agreed on the north. We head up Sherridon every few years - incredible for walleye and lake trout up there There's something different about the air as well
