We should get Gabe back around Game 4. That should really help the PP and give Arnie something to think about regarding where Gabe plays. I imagine if we are up 3-0, they might choose to rest him some more?

Risto sucks. Not worth the money and not worth a roster spot. Obviously not better than Pionk, but thanks for the laugh.
Pionk is a plus player, yet he's on the ice for almost every goal according to you. Again, thanks for the laugh.

VERY glad Chevy didn't pick up Risto. I have watched him play since he got into the league and he has pretty much horrible in his own zone. 
He would have played third-pairing and he's not worth half of his AAV.
Pionk is a +24. After 66 games he has 44 points which is one point less than RR has ever scored in a full season. We can't really say who is better in the playoffs because RR has never played a game in the NHL playoffs. To say that he has been on the ice for nearly every goal against is nothing but a lie.
 

I think Miller grades out better than Fleury.

Ehlers has a 10 team no trade clause and I am betting that Utah is one of those teams.

As far as DeMelo goes, if he isn't signed by the time free agency gets here, there'll be numerous teams talking to him and at the front of the line will probably be TO.
JMo Pulock would be a great first pairing.
Buy out Schmidt and you could have 
Samberg Salomosson (Pionk if he isn't traded) as 2nd pair and 
Ville DeMelo as 3rd pairing, but getting more than 12 minutes a game.

It pains me to say this but the real NHL coach of the year if you take everything into consideration is Kris Knoblauch imho.

Kyle Connor has 15 goals, 17 assists and a plus-minus of -7 in 45 games in the playoffs  
More goals than Ehlers has points. Has a knack for scoring game winners.

Nikolaj Ehlers has 4 goals, 10 assists and a plus-minus of -9 in 37 games in the playoffs in his career.  14 points in 37 games. In no way did he ever go beast mode in any playoff game.  He’s one of the playoff problems. When the games get tough he folds. To put this into perspective here’s Scheifele 
 
Mark Scheifele has 21 goals, 17 assists and a plus-minus of -2 in 42 games in the playoffs in his career.

On that first goal, not sure what Samberg was thinking putting a soft pass right up the slot.  I thought we coached our D men to NEVER do that, unless you have a guy who is VERY open.  We just handed them that opening goal, but tightened up after that, good to see Vilardi with the magic hands setting up that Scheif goal.

I enjoyed DeMelo putting Bedard on his ass there.

3 or 4 years would be good but 5 or more is too much.
I can't think of a goalie that performed well at this age. 
He would be 35 after a 4 year deal and that is pushing it.
3 x 10m would be okay with me.
Give Scheif a 7 x 9m that is front loaded so it doesn't hurt as much when you buy out his last year or two.

45m over the next 5 years is almost as much as what he is going to make on any 6 or 7 year deal elsewhere.
I think this lineup makes the playoffs. That 3rd line could own other team's lines depending. Three good lines and a really good 4th line.

Anyone check out the prospects at the week long camp last week? 
Solomonsson is what an nhl d looks like at 18 19. Believe he turns 19 in February.  Dude is a future Jet. Danny Zhilkin, defensively strong 2 way center looks like a player, rw Nikita Chibrikov looks like a steal. Rutger oozes personality, genuine personality, and looks like once he's in front of the net,  he's not moving. Barlow looks like all their dads.  Lambert is lambert. Lucius looks good to if he can stay healthy.  Good times coming
