The weather sucks. Southern AB always seems to get crap weather like this late October or early November. I HATE early winters. The World Series is still being played for cryin' out loud. I don't think more than 15,000 will be in the stands.

If we don't have Nichols playing this weekend then we are dead. Plain & simple. We all know that as there's no way the Stamps want to be on a 3 game losing streak at home going into the WDF. As far as something to prove, I think the Stamps will play hard. We are in tough. This team has done some great things & I think better days are ahead next year. But we need to still fill some holes & replace Hall to have a chance to win the GC next season. I'm conceding a Mea Culpa on this season with the way things are going. That's not being negative but being a realist. But I'm certainly not negative on the Bombers future.

That was always the criticism of hiring a Canadian GM. Having to rely on other people in the organization as Walters has no connections with NCAA or NFL teams. I don't think our scouts have done a very good job. Yeah, they've found some good players but for the life of me, when Int'l receivers are all over the place why they can't find any decent guys is beyond me. It's always a struggle. Walters really has to review their US scouting & make changes.

But they never kept him. Edmonton never found Bowman either. Or Reilly.

Adams could but not Dressler. The number one is a slot in Edmonton (Zylstra) & Dressler would be behind him. Adams would give the starting wideout a run for his money. Is that Williams?

Those guys are out there. We have to have scouts who can find them.

I know we desperately need a new DC but I'm not ready to say LaPo should go yet. I think we give him 1 more year. Adams is a talent but he can't stay healthy. Although I'll say most WR's across the league have that problem. The way they use Dressler on those fly sweeps & catching the ball in the flats just leaves him wide open to hellacious hits so he's always one hit away from being injured it seems. Walters has to make receiver a priority & sign a number of FA's. As well as lber.

LaPo likes to stretch the field horizontally & it seems 90% of his throws on 2nd down are always short of the first down marker relying on the receiver to make the YAC yards for a first down. I admit I don't like the system overall but it's been a godsend for Nichols as it suits him to a tee. In Year 3 of this offense with Nichols in 2018, it should be time to take it to another level by throwing more deep balls downfield. Outside of Adams, there's really no INt'l receivers on our rosters I really like. Dressler can't stay healthy & at 33 is it wise to bring him back? Denmark has absolutely disappeared the last 4 games. None of our qbs throw to him anymore & he's become a wasted talent. So, is it time to move on with him? The other Intl's? Don't really care as they don't do much at all. We need to restock & replace.

Imagine what we would be if we had the WR's teams like BC, Sask & Edm have. Why can't we find guys like that? Other than Adams we don't have any other receivers who can stretch the field as a vertical threat. Teams know we can't throw deep & we are an easy team to defend. How do you defend against Burnham & Arceneaux or Zylstra & Walker? Reilly just puts the ball up deep & lets his receivers do the rest. We can't do that. We need to build a receiving corp like those teams. My question is why can't we find those type of big & physical receivers?

You should run for Mayor. Come up with a campaign slogan that's catchy & I'll vote for you.

How many Grey Cups have the Stamps won (being such a dominant team) the past decade? They've choked more than they've won so dominant regular seasons don't mean as much as you think.

I have no idea whyTSN does that. It's like they want to **** with the fans all the time. Like the ones that PVR games. Why would they not start the second game on one of the other TSN channels until the 1st game is over.

Unlike J5V who seems to be saying there's little hope of the Bombers ever really improving, I'm still optimistic that a very good off season could propel this team to a championship in 2018. No reason why this team can't be better next season.
