I dunno. You could have a Super Saturday the 2nd week of the pre season. Make a big deal of it. Maybe televise 2 or 3 games to get fans excited about the season upcoming. Really make a big deal of it. But it's the CFL, Randy Ambrosie & TSN. It just makes too much sense so it'll never happen.

Both Lawler & Schoen's days as NFL players are over. We're not just a ground & pound team. We throw the ball. A lot. Sometimes maybe too much as Zach likes the deep ball. But to say we're a one dimensional ball team with just Oliveira grounding it out on the ground is wrong. This team reminds me of the Bombers of the mid to late 80's when we won 2 GC's & should have won more. We had Tom Clements at qb. We had Willard Reaves running for 1300-1800 yards a season. We also had Joe Pop, Rick House, Perry Tuttle, James Murphy & jeff Boyd catching the ball. No one called us a ground & pound team with Reaves ground game crushing opponents, The Bombers then, just like today, can kill a team on the ground or in the air. We're a nightmare for opposition DC's to prepare for.

The future isn't now. And we make no money on streaming anyway. We say this all the time but TSN does nothing to grow the game in Canada. Neither does the CFL. The leagues sits on it's boney, skinny ass picking it's nose. Meanwhile, you'd think that TSN would try to make 4 games a big deal in the pre season. Do something... Anything.

You could be right. I guess we'll see, I think based on the reaction of him practicing that one day that we can probably foretell what the reaction would be. I'm friends with about half a dozen Argo fans in Facebook & Instagram as well. They were all shocked & disgusted to see him out there.

Poobah randy Ambrosie sends out a tweet today saying he hopes fans enjoy Super Saturday & no TSN. Yeah, we can stream the games but still what a joke. I saw some photos of people taking pictures of the crowd at McMahon today & it's 1982-3 Montreal Alouettes at Olympic Stadium bad. Just before they folded. Between 8-10,000, I bet.

People Legitimately hate the guy. Having him practice & sending a big FU to safety of women in the workplace, the uncovering of prior sexual harrassment charges, being thrown out of a bar & threatening bouncers by saying he'll come back with a gun along with other transgressions as a QB in Tennessee & then in the NFL at Denver I think his career is over. If he comes back & the Argos send another FU to the league by playiing him, can you imagine the reaction??? Even Argo fans would be angry as well. He's done like a burnt piece of toast.

Grant, no question. It's hard to believe that couldn't find the money to sign him this season.

One play he was swaRmed by the Hamilton D. So, hard to say... Powell looks ordinary. Ti cat receiver dropped that sure TD pass a=in the end zone even though he had to reach around for it. It was catchable. Hamilton with the nomination for the leasr imaginative & ugliest uniforms in the CFL.

Money. Teams can't (league won't let them with the management & admin cap) or just refuse to spend the $$$ if they can. Thewr's lots of tghings they could do but aren't since the pandemic.

Or a controlled scrimmage with another CFL team to get even more reps. Teams don't want to spend money.

I have my doubts that Kelly will be back at all.

This is why I miss 4 pre season games. Vets & rooks would see more reps in practice & games.

The Bay ticket office was called the Celebrity Box Office (CBO) & Eaton's was the Attractions Ticket Office (ATO). Usually the music promoter dealt with just one, I believe. Although with the Eagles the promoter may have dealt with both as over 50,000 people bought tickets to that concert which was unprecedented at the time. So long ago, I can't remember.

I remember the old days when we camped out for tickets. None of the pre sales they have now where sponsors & elites get first pick before the scraps go on sale to the general public & an event is sold out in two minutes. The last time I did that was in May of 1978 when the Eagles were going to play Assiniboia Downs in August. They were the hottest rock band on the planet back then. I got to Eaton's at 7;30 pm the night before the tickets went on sale at 9:30 am. There were already a hundred people there ahead of us. My 2 friends & I had a blast talking with some of the people around us also in line. That was also when it was relatively safe to go downtown....

Their backup Dukes didn't look out of place when he did play but to be thrown in as the starter after such little playing time last season will be a tough situation. The Argos didn't have the time to sign a potential starter as the Chad kelly suspension happened so late in the off season. We're finally going to see just how good a head coach Ryan Dinwiddie is.

Coaching as well. Why was Hall in blitz mode on the goal line on the last play of the game?? At Sam???

You'd hope that if Osh wants to start 10 Canadians on the opening day roster that both Walters & Miller would be concerned. I think what happened last year was Walters contract situation was so up in the air that he thought he wasn't coming back. So, Osh just had free reign to do what he wanted since our GM & scouting staff didn't even know where they'd be right now. This year is different. Everyone is under contract now management wise. You'd hope Osh would answer to those above him for questionable roster moves.

Toronto is in big trouble. They may only win 3 games.

As do I. I wish Brown well but I think he may turn into this year's Nick Arbuckle. Ottawa is desprate for a legit CFL starting qb. They'll throw money to any player tnhey think can become one.

Sometimes a coach can show all the patience in the world but it doesn't make a difference. I think if you're an American qb, you either get it or you don't.

I guess Buck will make that call. I can also see Barriere getting zero playing time next game as it's a prep for the CFL opener the week after. If anything, I see Streveleer getting more playing time along with Wilson. Osh may keep Zach out of the next game as well as he's done that in the past. Jf he does, then Barriere might play a bit more. I guess it all depends upon how the kid practices this week.
