Oh, I'm certain too, it's just not their prime hate-du-jour. Same with indigenous, the hate is always there, but they're not rallying around it. Everything in a cycle. They'll get bored and distracted by some other shiny thing to hate and they'll move on.- Canadian Politics
They just pick up the hate rhetoric they used against other groups and apply it elsewhere. They just shifted from immigrants and Muslims, to LGBTQ2S+. It's just the Hate-du-jour for the right.- Canadian Politics

I stopped watching in the 3rd season, I think? I still want to continue it but I've been short on time. --------- I finally watched and finished Picard. That was a lot of fun but not really sustainable. I would watch Star Trek: The Next Next Generation, without Raffi. I did not enjoy that character.- Around The NHL 2022-23

Two school divisions defy provincial tax-freeze order More than one school board defied a provincial directive to freeze its local taxes — and in turn, forfeited an offset grant — to raise more money to pay for staff and programs in 2023-24. Elected officials in Winnipeg’s Seven Oaks School Division and the Red River Valley School Division, whose headquarters are in Morris, both recently passed budgets that rely on resident fee hikes. https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2023/05/17/two-school-divisions-defy-provincial-tax-freeze-order Well, this is interesting. The Gov't didn't get involved in the Brandon SD (article below), so will they interfere here? https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2023/05/15/school-division-will-deal-with-book-ban-issue-premier Premier Heather Stefanson said her government supports the LGBTTQ+ community and the authority of school divisions. “We want to ensure that nobody is being discriminated against when it comes to information that is out there,” she told the house. “When it comes to this situation, I know that school divisions have been involved,” she told the house Monday. “We know we’ve left certain things and decisions up to those school divisions.” The Brandon division will deal with the issue, she said.- Bombers Rookie Camp/Training Camp/Pre-Season Thread
At the very least, DT does the work on the stats. It's not MOS' job to provide the reporters with their articles. Giving them a pass is a joke. There are too many bad reporters in this city covering the sports teams, just mailing it in and cashing cheques. Do the work. - Upcoming Movies
