If Edmonton won the lottery Arizona might offer OEL for the chance to draft Mathews, they probably need to add there first to make it happen would it happen maybe maybe not, but Arizona needs that potential superstar kinda homegrown talent and Edmonton really need a 1 D. If we win the lottery that kid is going nowhere.

I I agree, a player who is good and want's to play here is gold but i can't stand the idea of good d and a prospect going the other way especially Trouba + no way. Islanders won't talk Enstrom , but if they take Myers straight up i could be okay with that.

Hamonic will not be worth the price the Jets would have to pay to get him and he is not any better all around than our top 4 d at the moment. He is very good but i'm not giving up and roster d-man and a prospect for him, as for Hutch is just lets in one of those crappy goals every game.

The Jets are probably going to have another flat season next year so why not keep Pavelec as the team as it weeds out the players they don't want in favour of rookies and then try to get rid of Pavelec at the deadline. Another possibility is to waive him and if no takers send him to the Moose, he will not be bought out TSNE will not do that.

You should be optimistic this team's prospect will only get better and we will add to that in this years draft, Probably won't make the playoffs next year either as more prospects are looked at, but the following year will be the start of making the playoffs for years to come, here's hoping anyway.

Lots of moving parts until draft day the only thing that is certain is that Mathews goes no.1. Anybody drafting top 5 will get a really good player for the future.

If we are drafting 5 or later it's between Tkachuk and Sergachev for me, both have pro's and con's but if baby Tkachuk can be like papa look out. The back end can be taken care with some sort of trade and or development .

This team will sputter along till the end of the season, maybe Chevy makes some trades to get rid of some bottom 6 players that don't fit into the long term plans. Dano gonna need some time to get used to the team,but without Little and trading Ladd this is what to expect for the rest of the year.

Once Buff was signed Ladd was probably told he would not be giving him time to get certain affairs in order.

Most teams are set in goal so i think Pavelic remains a Jet unless Calgary takes a flyer on him.

Pretty sure that he will rejoin the defensive backs this year and will solidify that group, great resigning and a real good team guy.

I would say the chances of Ladd resigning here would be slim and none, many veteran free agents will see a soft market this year if the cap goes down. Teams are going younger and the money goes to the select few superstars Ladd does not fall in that category. Ladd has moved on and so should we as Chevy has some major challenges in the future, by the way i also believe that Stafford will be gone next year as will Perreault, and Little the following year. After Buffs contract is done i think there will no players that came from Atlanta with the team.

Even if we don't get Mathews we will draft a very good player to add to the prospects hopefully they will have the right mix to be a playoff contender in a few years.
