Receivers at DE
Dressler is a great player but has his limitations. Salary factored in we are a better team without him here. Collins has been very good since day one of camp, highly doubt anything is going to change. He has serious speed also. He and Chiles are both very fast and big, big plus to us this year over what we had. I respect Westons time here and he will be remembered fondly but things are now how they were meant to be.

He did that right in front of us in north endzone. LOL We were giving him the business pretty good. He just laughed. He was a good sport about it.

I see what you did there.

Was it Brink that had the doing up the bowtie celebration in the endzone at labor day or Elliot

Totally agree. Other hometown boy for you guys that's dam good is Steele.

No question he is good. Never said he wasn`t. I just believe his value has a lot to do with him being Canadian. That's all. If Laurant wasn`t Canadian, would you trade either of your tackles for him and his big contract. I can see you guys have your opinions, I'm not here to change your mind. I have mine as well. Guess we`ll leave it at that.

I`ll assume you have been drinking. Sewell is a monster. Laurant is a Canadian . enough said

I suppose your right. I guess I have a soft spot for Chick. That and I don't quite see Laurant at Sewell`s level

Agreed. But the heart of Edmonton's defense is in the middle. opposite of Hamilton

You need to shut down White on the ground. Goosen needs a big game against Sewell. Esks are beatable. Their vaunted defense has given up 82 points in two games, a mere shadow of its former self. Nothing scary about the Esks anymore.

I don't know, but I'm glad you didn't. Likely was just a wrong place at the wrong time thing. It happens to all teams.

Totally true. You won and we lost fair and square, no crying here. I meant the trend of us continuing to lose

What broke the spirit of the team last year has been fired. Sorry to disappoint but we are building this year. We will get better every week. The loss didn't even fizz on anyone because we know the wins will come. Riders are heading in the right direction now

Good post. Bad bounces etc.. go both ways. Bottom line there are only 18 chances to win a game. You won and that's always a good thing. Luck, whatever! Who cares, I'd have been happy if we would pulled that one out the fire against the Esks. The Bombers played better and are going to continue to have to get better, because I see us improving and we are going to be battling for a playoff spot this year. Lions look better also. The west is going to be tough this year.

Riders send neg list player to Cats for QB Jake Waters

Receivers at DE
Watching Getz drop the ball last night made me happy he isn't here anymore. Our receivers are 100% better than last year already

I never saw any of your game with Cats, just read the stats. But in other games Goosen is getting bull rushed in the A gap. He needs to be better there. That's all I'm saying

I'd be concerned with the Goosen and Sewell matchup in the middle. Riders Oline played great and kept them off DD. If Goosen can control Sewell in the middle you guys have a chance. The Esks are a shadow of their former selves and are beatable.

Taman's the man when it comes to over paying aging receivers so they never leave.

Receivers at DE
Brian Illerbrun and Bob Poley, a couple of Saskatchewan boys both came to the Riders as defensive lineman. Had long careers playing on the Offensive line

Lemon Trade
It definitely looks that way right now on this move.

Absolutely true. The thing with the qb's is a ref is almost always standing 10 feet from him looking right at him. That ref is usually head official which makes missing the call even worse.
