THink the big difference between this year and last year was that we were closer to top of div last year and closer to bottom of div this year

I thought Thorburn/Lowry/Staff was good. Thorburn/Burmi been some of the better players lately. I know right - the 2 guys we vented about earlier. I'm tempted to bring Pardy in for a game and sit Trouba. Peluso, Pardy, Postma, Petan. What's with the P guys? Poor Buff, looks at some guy wrong and gets penalty.

LLW seems to be the one consistent on this team, rather not break them up. Ladd seems like a streak type of player. He'll still get us 20. Was a better game then the last. I saw the Jets hitting tonight but still not like we've known them to. That penalty on Buff at the end tho...

Well if PaMa wanted the Jets to be better defensively he's not getting it at least after 1 period. Good thing Trouba scored else I'd be sitting him for a game. Some one needs to tell him the sophomore jinx is only 1 season.

When Bettman took over the first thing he said was that salaries could go up. What commish says that? From NYR and for the next 10-12 years afterwards you won the cup because you spent more then the other guy. Canadian teams really had no chance. We had to sit there and suffer. Even Montreal fans stopped going to the games. Now it did not start with Bettman, it started with Ziegler. Canadians had to suffer for years knowing the American teams were just going to own the cup for a decade until salary cap came in. Is the NHL better today? Certainly its got more pop to it and with Rogers hoggin the rights they've turned it into a religion with deities and demigods. Salaries and ticket prices - whats the percent increase? 400%? Just venting, I remember Chi-chi's, Fingers and McD's at old arena
