As you may or may have not noticed, I've been away. I had my left knee replaced on April 19th. It's been 9 days & it's been rough. Pain was extreme until this past Tuesday or Weds. Using T4's & T3's to control the pain although the past 3 days have been better. My use of meds has fallen off the past 3 days. Using a walker to get around the house. Getting in & out of chairs is certainly a challenge as it's difficult to get up & down. I haven't gone out but if I do this weekend, I'll use crutches. All I can say is my Donjoy Ice Machine is a lifesaver. It just takes the pain away in bed. Allows me to get as decent a night's sleep as I can. I spoke with the surgeon afterwards in recovery. He said that I had the worst knee he has ever saw in all his years of doing surgery. as he put it. "It was bad!! B-A-D!!!" My thanks to the Rockyview Orthopedic Floor, Unit 81 for the great care, compassion & attention. I'm not back yet. Just wanted to drop a line to let you guys know & also wish Tracker well in his upcoming knee surgery in May.

Anyone who hasn't seen the presser, it is a must watch IMO. Pretty much sums up the feelings of a lot of the fans as well. You have a coach in Maurice who basically fired himself because he was out of ideas with this group. Bring in Bowness, who at his age and where he is in his career / retirement, can be very open and honest with what he says here. Changes are needed.

If you want to vote for a guy who thinks its a waste of time to listen to people presenting to council because in his mind he knows better (a fairly anti democratic position), advocated calling the police to roust homeless people from bus shelters and stated online that he would be sending the police to a community group that runs a food bank in his ward because they also supported safe injection sites then go ahead. Its your right in a democracy. If I lived in his ward, I would not vote for him for the aforementioned reasons. Additional reasons would be his complaining about the decay of Harbour View and it not getting enough funding despite him having been the councilor for that area for 16 years, several of which when he was on EPC (Clear he didn't do anything on the file) and his support of extending Chief Peguis and widening Kenaston.

After this full season I’m actually not worried about replacing Schief, Wheels, PLD, or even Helle. Will there be short term pain? Yes. Not looking to absolve him- he did what we did, and he should be held accountable for it. Do I think the shmucks are trying to blow this out of proportion, embellish this, and politized the **** outta this because they really have nothing to run on other than, OMG, he's a thug? Yes.
