It's not hate- I don't hate you or any of the people that fall prey to the misinformation- I am just really... and I mean really ******* tired of it and have exhausted my patience with people refuting sound science with sources from some dude named "Armed with knowledge and my AR15" off of facebook that became an expert because of 20k mules or some **** like that. But I honestly believe they had the right idea and attempted to do the right thing. 4 pointsI for one was happy that they erred on the side of making sure people that needed it, got it. Nothing worse than people needing assistance and getting ****** by red tape. Don't get me wrong- it sucks that so much cash was misallocated, but if it's either that or people that need help won't get it- I'd opt for the option where people get the timely assistance they need. I hope they took into account the cost of the possibility of the housing market imploding because of foreclosures and renters being evicted and so on. That would have been an enormous cost to tax payers. But I do agree with you, there needs to be some inquiry into how this was handled, so we can learn from it and make better decisions next time. I'm good with how that unfolded.4 points- 2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)

4 pointsAgree with your comments regarding our kickers past and present, especially Lirim Hajrullahu. That was sad and I'm seeing things haven't changed, as it happening, again with Leggs. There are a few in here who love to complain for the sake of complaining, perhaps taking a lead from the provincial green supporters to the west of us. Now, I commented last year regarding an outing that Leggs had in which he struggled, supporting the Bombers and Leggs. Well a die heart responsed, upset no less "I don't agree, I expect perfection" from our kicker(s) and of course the sky was falling... Apparently in Bomberland, our kickers & at times players/coaches on our team can't have down days (2 Grey Cups, last minute loss in past 3 Grey Cup games) and with each outing the Bombers did play an opposing team, I believe. In my opinion, the current management group is fully aware of things and do address situations when required, including the players. Been a Bomber fan since the early 1960's, don't comment here very often as I'm just a fan and not an expert, but have coached (not football) in my younger days. Had Bomber season tickets, now a 5 game flex holder (and sometimes extra or out of town game), have sat in both stadiums, yelled at TV sets, listened to Bob, etc. Yes, there are things that upset and bother me, but going on and on about a situation, I just pump the brakes. Yes, love the off season stuff which is upon us: (gm's/coach movement late Nov/Dec and Jan, free agents signings in Dec/Jan/Feb, draft stuff in Mar/Apr and actual draft in early May, training camps start late May). Fun times!4 points- 2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)

THEN PROCEEDS TO MAKE EXCUSES. “I just wish I would have taken some time off, maybe a game or two, and then just get back to 100 percent and go out there feeling like myself again. The COVID game didn’t help me at all, either. My knee, it helped a little bit but … I lost a lot of weight that I was carrying that can help protect me taking hits.” FFS. Worst. Attitude. Ever. 3 pointsWhat I'd like to see is a breakdown of what employers/corporations received assistance who likely didn't and likely won't repay what they owe. Bell, Rogers, and Telus all come to mind (https://www.thestar.com/business/2021/02/08/top-telecoms-took-in-almost-a-quarter-billion-dollars-from-canadas-wage-subsidy-program-and-kept-paying-dividends.html) Government oversight was sorely lacking and an inquiry should be undertaken, but the rampant and reckless greed of slimy corporate interests during a pandemic and their lack of accountability after the fact should make anyone's blood boil, regardless of political lean.3 points- Canadian Politics

3 pointsBryant will retire a Bomber, I'd bet. He hasn't even really shown injury issues (knock on wood) to this point. Can't imagine him not re-signing. Re: Kicking...... Chris O'Leary (I think it was...) had a piece on CFL.ca about potential FA pairings that make sense, and he matched up the Bombers with Sean Whyte. I'm not sure that's something the Bombers would pursue, but it's interesting anyhow. Thing is, if Liegghio is your guy and you ever want him to grow into the role of The Guy, the only way he gets there is by playing. You can't keep bringing in other guys and expect Liegghio to get better just by watching.3 points- Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season

2 pointsUkraine live briefing: Attacks on Russian airfields carried out by Ukrainian drones, Kyiv official says By David L. Stern, Erin Cunningham, Mary Ilyushina, Jeff Stein, Kelly Kasulis Cho, Jennifer Hassan and Miriam Berger Updated December 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. EST|Published December 6, 2022 at 2:05 a.m. EST KYIV, Ukraine — An oil facility close to an airfield in Russia’s Kursk oblast, near the Ukrainian border, caught fire Tuesday following a drone strike, regional governor Roman Starovoit said on Telegram, adding that there were no casualties. This would be the third attack on or near a Russian airfield in 24 hours — the most brazen and furthest-ranging attacks inside Russia since the invasion of Ukraine began in February, and an apparent escalation of the already full-scale drone war between the countries. The strike comes a day after explosions at two military installations deep inside Russia, including an airfield that served as a base for bombers allegedly used in Moscow’s relentless strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Three Russian service members died in those blasts, which marked the deepest strikes yet inside Russia. Russia’s Defense Ministry blamed Ukraine for the attacks and said it had intercepted low-flying drones in the area. Kyiv did not publicly claim responsibility for the strikes Monday and Tuesday, but a senior Ukrainian official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation, told The Washington Post on Tuesday that all three attacks were carried out by Ukrainian drones. Here’s the latest on the war and its ripple effects across the globe. Key developments “These were Ukrainian drones — very successful, very effective,” the senior Ukrainian official said of the strikes, which signal a potentially serious security lapse by Russia. The official added that Moscow has “sowed the seeds of anger, and they’ll reap the whirlwind.” He said he could not comment on whether the drones were launched from Ukrainian territory or whether special forces were involved. Russia appears to have run out of Iranian drones, and there is no sign that fresh supplies are on the way, a Western official, who spoke on the discussion of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters, said Tuesday. Russia has not used Iranian drones in its attacks on Ukranian infrastructure since mid-November and there is also no indication that a proposed deal to manufacture the drones in Russia is near completion, the official said. The slow-moving, noisy drones have in any case proved increasingly ineffective as Ukrainian air defenses have adapted, Western and Ukrainian officials say. Intelligence officials believe Russia has used around 400 Iranian drones since the first supplies arrived last summer, and Ukraine claims it has managed to shoot the majority of them down. Ukraine is carrying out emergency shutdowns of its power grid in key regions after another barrage of Russian missiles knocked out power and water supplies in cities including Odessa on Monday. About half of the Kyiv region will be without electricity in the coming days, Oleksiy Kuleba, the region’s military leader, said on Telegram. “We will do everything to restore stability,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly address. Russia said there are no direct negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv on the issue of a security zone around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, after Rafael Mariano Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said he was nearing an agreement between the two sides to safeguard the facility. “We are discussing the possible parameters of a declaration on the establishment of a zone of protection,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. But under no circumstances would Russian forces withdraw from the plant, she added. From the Washington Post2 points- US Politics

2 pointsTrump Tries To Back Off Of Terminating The Constitution And Melts Down After a weekend of backlash, Trump tried to clean up his calls for terminating the Constitution and things quickly went sideways. On his social media platform, Trump wrote: The Fake News is actually trying to convince the American People that I said I wanted to “terminate” the Constitution. This is simply more DISINFORMATION & LIES, just like RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, and all of their other HOAXES & SCAMS. What I said was that when there is “MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION,” as has been irrefutably proven in the 2020 Presidential Election, steps must be immediately taken to RIGHT THE WRONG. Only FOOLS would disagree with that and accept STOLEN ELECTIONS. MAGA! SIMPLY PUT, IF AN ELECTION IS IRREFUTABLY FRAUDULENT, IT SHOULD GO TO THE RIGHTFUL WINNER OR, AT A MINIMUM, BE REDONE. WHERE OPEN AND BLATANT FRAUD IS INVOLVED, THERE SHOULD BE NO TIME LIMIT FOR CHANGE! Trump doesn’t want to trash all of the Constitution, just that whole democratic election of leaders part and the idea that the will of the people as expressed at the ballot box is binding. If the former president is serious about there being no time limit for contesting elections, I’m sure that Al Gore would like to have a word about 2000, and Hillary Clinton has some thoughts on 2016. Trump couldn’t even backtrack from his plan to trash democracy without melting down and demanding that he be reinstated as president. The disaster continues to roll forward for Republicans as with each new post, Trump is digging the hole deeper. https://www.politicususa.com/2022/12/05/trump-tries-to-back-off-of-terminating-the-constitution-and-melts-down.html2 points- Canadian Politics

We were lucky to have been able to bring in Medlock and Castillo when we did, but guys like that don't come available every day and we were lucky with the timing on both of them. It's very easy to say "bring in a guy with experience", but if a guy with experience if available you have to ask yourself why that's the case. I remember what happened with Lirim Hajrullahu where he was unceremoniously let go after a lackluster season, and he has turned his career around and done quite well for himself (averaged over 80% in all of his years in the CFL minus the one when we let him go).
