I was going to post this in General Discussion but I want as many members to see it & respond. I want to say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Happy New Year to everyone here. It's been a tough 2020 for all of us & our favourite sports teams. Let's hope 2021 is a lot better for all of us!!

A young Buddhist monk sought out the wisest of the order to ask a question. "Master," he said," Which is most important- the destination or the journey?" The master smiled and replied," The most important thing is not the destination, nor the journey, but who you travel with." To all here who share this part of the journey, may we forget this year, but not the learnings, and may we all journey together again in 2021 on a smoother road. Thanks for the companionship.

I bet it's quiet because the Bombers are trying to restructure a bunch of contracts. That's first, then they'll lock down the FAs.

Jared's father is as amoral and corrupted as Trump. FYI- Charles Kushner was convicted of fraud and tax evasion, due, in part, to the testimony of his brother and business partner. As revenge, Charles hired an expensive hooker to seduce his brother and had the tryst filmed. Charles then showed the encounter at a family gathering. Classy. No wonder that Jared and Ivanka are so good a fit for each other- they are both cut from the same cloth. Scum begets scum.

Military on 'red alert' that Trump may invoke martial law to stay in power: report A series of pardons, post-election protests claiming voter fraud that has never been proven, and one man's probable mental illness at the head of the nation are adding up to a "red alert" in what has normally been a quiet time of the year for many: the holidays. But not this year. "Pentagon and Washington-area military leaders are on red alert, wary of what President Donald Trump might do in his remaining days in office," Newsweek reported on Thursday. One officer who spoke with Newsweek on the condition of anonymity said the inaugural and transitional planning is being kept out of sight of the White House and Trump loyalists in the Pentagon for fear that it would be shut down. "I've been associated with the military for over 40 years and I've never seen the discussions that are being had right now, the need for such discussions," said the retired flag officer, who is currently a defense contractor. He was granted anonymity in order to speak without fear of reprisal. "Right now, because of coronavirus," one retired judge advocate general said, "the president actually has unprecedented emergency powers, ones that might convince him—particularly if he listens to certain of his supporters—that he has unlimited powers and is above the law." all things considered we had a pretty good regular season...Prior to Nichols injury we were rolling...Defence was lights out and barely allowing TD's Nichols went down...Strev was up and down and defense was getting worn down a bit being on field more...it happens.....had the Harris issue...a few key injuries and some a few losses where we had no business losing...still a loss but not indicative to what type of team this was, or what kind of locker room bond this team had...was tight, and from what many people in the know have said was the glue that kept things together and wasn't a normal pro locker room..contrary to what a people don't know, many many teams have locker rooms where sure guys are all teamates, friends so to speak, but outside of stadium a lot...actually shockingly lot teams have fragments of guys or units who have no use or dealings' for one another...people always yammer on about "how good" the locker room is/was but 9 times outta 10 its lip service and just that talk...this team was not normal...and credit to Osh, Hall, Younger and Walters for that...and it was key We made a calculated but risky move for Collaros, but it paid off and was the missing piece..we came into the playoffs hot and confident...dominated the playoffs and after the season as a whole...were the best all round TEAM in the league...thats why we hoisted the Cup...It was blatantly obvious in West Semi and the Cup that this squad was a true gang of brothers, as many said after the game...would play on a broken leg (strev for example) for each other, and not wuss out (Banks for an example) And this was one of may most examples aren't privy to...the sum of all the parts of the season...Injuries...suspensions...A coache's abscence due to a death in family..and this team had a damn successful season, and the sad part is with all that were to be back, I have no doubt in my mind that we would have repeated...no doubt...We would have also added a Sayles and a Kongbo back to fold for final push too, making us even stronger than what we would have been at start

As far as 3DN saying teams may want to load up on FA qbs. There aren't any real "names" out there available at qb. I remember Logan Kilgore was on some people's list as a potential starter back in 2019. There's always James Franklin but the boat may have sailed on him by now. His time with the Argos really messed up his career. Not sure about MBT. He was a Bomber once. Do we try to bring him back if he goes to FA? I'd like to see what Sean McGuire can do but he's unproven... As far as I see Collaros & McGuire are our guys.

People knew what a POS Trump was when they elected him, many thought he would change and become shall we say more presidential, many didn't care they heard what they wanted to hear, once Trump is gone and the investigations start people will be finally find out all they have suspected and thought about Trump was true and frankly many won't give a rats ass, this is America right now.

Curt Keilback with the Ess-ennnn-sa with the save was always classic. My brain is turned off... whoever was doing the radio broadcasts in the past years (not Dennis Beyak whoever the other guy) was absolutely terrible. Calls the game to fast and I always found his "He scorrrrrrrreees" to sounding like nails on a chalkboard. He sounds like Ralph Kramden.

The Australian statistics were skewed by a several private for-profit care homes in one province who were not following government regulations. The care homes who were either government-run or not-for-profit or were for-profit and following regulations were much, much better. The rules are very simple: one resident per room, a two-week total lockdown as soon as COVID was reported in the area, strict PPE adherence and absolutely no staff working in more than one facility.

Mike Pence accidentally admits the real reason Republicans hate Democrats so much The grassroots organization People for Bernie on Tuesday advised the Democratic Party to take a page from an unlikely source—right-wing Vice President Mike Pence—after Pence told a rally crowd in Florida that progressives and Democrats "want to make rich people poorer, and poor people more comfortable." "Good message," tweeted the group, alerting the Democratic National Committee to adopt the vice president's simple, straightforward description of how the party can prioritize working people over corporations and the rich.

Using a race car analogy for 19' ...we had a Cadillac of a team that seemed to be purring along...ran into a few bumps in the road and added a Michael Schumaker (Collaros) to take the wheel when our other drivers couldn't go...We turned up the heat in the stretch and came away with the big prize....I felt all year we had a winner that could take it all...we just needed that one piece behind centre and it came along at just the right time...Like all others I was a tad skeptical when we brought in Zach BUT in the final game at IG against Cal. and Collaros chucked that beauty to Adams in the endzone with Darvin doing the tightrope and hauling in that pin point pass for six, I knew we had something special there...The rest just fell into place...We had a great bunch of guys in 19'...still have IF we can reup them....Hopefully we can retain most (would like them all) and still pull off a repeat....It's still going on strong with this club and not impossible to repeat....Kyle must really be burning the midnight oil trying to put that winner back together...With all of the restraints there exists now...it won't be easy but hope springs eternal

Wouldn't an average CFL regular season record, by definition, be 9-9 (.500)? The 2019 Bombers were 11-7 (.611), two games above average. In other words, they were better than average. And then capped it all off with a perfect playoff record, winning the Grey Cup and ending that lame-ass drought. Kinda makes you wonder who's really the idiot here...
