And that's why we need to focus on our own national security. Fascism is on the rise and white supremacism is clearly here. We need to strengthen our national response to these terrorists and root them out before it spreads. They exist in our police forces and our military. If we don't take it seriously now, we're likely to end up in a similar state as the US. They have control of the Post Media, the Rebel and other alt-right media orgs.

Trump is not smart enough to debate. He doesn't understand policy, how it's formed, or how to execute it. Debates are a waste of time with him.

You say debate, I say debacle. - Never seen anything like it. Of the three people on camera, only 2 adults showed up, but it was hard for Wallace and Biden to act accordingly with a Trump in the room continuing to interject with his weak and mostly false attacks. - there was no need for fact checking...but interruption checking had Trump in the lead..by a lot - no winner of the debate but there was a clear cut loser...aka the bully. - Chris Wallace the moderator had a tough time bull riding. - it would have been a lot better if they cut off the mics whenever there was an interruption. That would have happened often. - if you were only looking for someone who conducted themselves better, then Biden is your man. - “stand back and stand by”. After Biden denounced violence of any kind, this was Trump’s response when asked to tell White supremacists to stop the violence. No denouncement. He couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. - best line of the night: "It's hard to get any word in with this clown," Biden offered. And that was a sad fact. He also chimed in “he’s a racist” - Trump stuck to his usual denials and falsehoods and tried to pin down some dirt on Hunter Biden..but unsuccessfully. He presented nothing useful for the majority of Americans but I’m sure his racist followers were pleased and the rest of his cult couldn’t follow what was going on. - Even though Canada’s hit TV show “Schitt’s Creek” has ended its run, there were definitely elements of a schitt show going on this night. - there really was no substance and the prospect of two more debates seems useless, unless maybe Dwayne Johnson moderates. No, two more debates would just be a waste of everybody’s time and serve only as a platform for a raging madman who loves to perform.

Have been watching Presidential debates since the 70's. Tonight was by far.... the most dismal, chaotic and inept debate, I have ever seen. Period. Biden had some verbal stumbles, missed some potential opportunities, and on a couple of occasions, simply dropped the ball, on his answers to the particular question asked. But in the end, hardly any one really noticed, as Trump put on a gob smacking performance for the ages..... time after time... he clearly demonstrated his total lack of any moral, and intellectual qualities, required of a President. This was all delivered with the temperament of a agitated 12 year old. Featuring serial interrupting, shouting, and of course....lying. Some of his responses on issues (Covid, white supremacy, Biden's military son, among others) were simply astounding, and not in a good way. Republicans are going to have to spin this, like never before....

One of the first things that happened under his tenure was the Diversity Is Strength campaign, which was an absolute home run, and he was the first commissioner to make a point of going to each stadium specifically to talk to fans about what they like, didn't like, would like to see, etc etc..... I remember vividly a tweet from some Toronto based talking head (Madani or someone like that...) saying "Ambrosie's start to the role has been like Yoenis Cespedes in the home run derby....non stop crushing it..." and that always stood out to me. The good will hasn't stayed with him, unfortunately...

So basically what you had was Trump trying to hammer away on the same talking points he brings up every time he speaks and going with his tactic of just shouting over everyone and not letting anyone else speak. Attempt to drown out everything but your own message. Typical Trump stuff but it was particularly egregious in the parts I watched last night. Biden needs to prepare for these more. He tried to discuss facts but you can't do that when Trump is just going to yell over everything you say, he didn't have the material to put him in his place and clearly didn't want to come across as an angry old man getting angry at the interruptions. Basically the people who support Trump are going to think he was strong and owned the debate despite being a lunatic talking about lies and no policy at all. For me Biden was the more capable debater despite some stumbles over words and brought up some good points however he was ill prepared for the circus that we all knew Trump was going to bring. For me the strategy is hammer on points Trump is weak to and not let him control the messaging. He touched a nerve a couple times with comments about him lying all the time and especially when Trumps lack of paying taxes came up however he never stuck to it and really got Trump off his tracks. So yeah given the very low bar set for Trump he basically "won" because he didn't **** himself on stage.

Deutsche bnk “Over two decades, Trump borrowed more than $2bn from Deutsche. In 2008, he defaulted on a $45m loan repayment and sued the bank. Its private wealth division in New York subsequently loaned Trump a further $300m – a move that bemused insiders and which has yet to be fully explained.” default on loan, sue the lender, get a new loan for ten times the first money. nothing stinky there.

yeah his idea of a debate is be louder and repeat lies often enough that people just start believing it. I mean christ he was finally pushed into a debate when it was brought up comments from experts from his own government agencies were directly contradicting what he claimed and his response was "well I disagree with that" Like that's not how a debate work! You don't get to say the experts say this and then say no they're wrong when you are shown that the experts are in fact saying something totally opposite. I fear for americans based on that debate because despite Trump not saying much what he did say was terrifying. Talking about protests he basically said "let me go in and end it quickly" aka use force to suppress protests. More "law and order" which just more jailing people and police brutality. Total authoritarian. Talking about the economy all he cares about still are tax cuts for the rich which is horrible so keep making the citizens wage slaves. Keep dividing the country... Just really sad that so many people buy his **** when it is so obviously out to lunch.
