With 220,000 people there aren't the same career opportunities in Regina as there are in Winnipeg. Most CFL players don't want to play in Regina. Maybe for 5 months they will but not year round.

Unless you're our ******* Alberta Premier. Kenney is sending all kids back to school. Huge class sizes of 35-40 kids per class. No social distancing or masks in class or on school buses insisting it's safe based on some old study that is now outdated. I drive a school bus. I expected at least the kids would be wearing masks but nope. I carry 55-65 kids each on 4 different runs morning & afternoon. So over & above 200 students each day. All breathing the same air. All touching the same things. Yes, we all feel so safe. He just lost me as a supporter. **** him. **** the UCP. Utter madness to just ignore the virus in schools in an entire province of nearly 5 million people with over 10,000 cases. How long before the lawsuits start flying after people get sick??

****'s going to get way worse If your not familiar with Sinclair... they are basically like ninja fox "news" on steroids. It's like if fox news bought out your trusted local news station and you didn't realize it... John Oliver explains it best here:

as with pretty much everything he does, this is a really great piece from Ed Tait... https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/24/first-10-cfl-loyalist/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter The video he shares at the end of it probably hits home for a lot of us here in the MBB community. We bicker about a lot of things, but we all truly love the CFL. It is our league.

Winnipeg tentatively announced as hub city for 2020 season https://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/cfl/winnipeg-cfl-hub-city-1.5657988 Just like most players, Saskatchewan offered more ($3 million) than Manitoba ($2.5 million) to subsidize operations but Winnipeg was picked based on ... qualitative factors (such as not being Saskatchewan)
  15. Something like this just goes against my goya He could have had a very good year...ED TAIT@EDTAITWFCA receiver lives for these moments, those times when the game slows down, when there is an almost-ESP connection with the quarterback, when the routes are crisp and quick and the defender is in full chase mode.Kenny Lawler had a lot of those moments last year with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, a season in which he led the club in receiving yards with 637 and had four touchdowns among his 43 receptions. He was also the Bombers’ Most Outstanding Rookie and there was a very real sense all of those numbers – and, as a result, his impact on every game – were going to see a big-time boost in 2020.https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/18/first-10/
  16. Hope he comes back after qualifying for that NFL pension....
  17. Jonathan KongboLast year was a physical, spiritual and emotional healing for me,” began the 24-year-old defensive end during a conversation with bluebombers.com from his home in Surrey, B.C. “That all happened in Winnipeg for me. I remember when I first got there, there was this ambiance around the team and the staff. Everyone believed in me and told me I was a good player and, in a sense, that helped rebuild me.“And by the end of the Grey Cup I would say I had come a long way. But that was a byproduct of the great leaders I was around in the locker room, the culture of Coach O’Shea set… it was the best thing that could have happened to me.”.https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/17/catching-jonathan-kongbo/ https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/17/catching-jonathan-kongbo/
  18. Marcus Sayles “Looking back, I never thought in a million years I would be in Canada,” he said. “And I never thought in a million years how fast this process would be. It just feels like I left school and this is now going to be my third year as a pro. This is going to be my fourth team after the Bills, Rams and the Bombers and Minnesota now.“https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/15/catching-marcus-sayles/ What a year Marcus had. I hope he gets to play this year..
  19. “Making that decision and pulling the trigger to come up to Winnipeg right away, just trusting my gut and my instincts, it really paid off. I wouldn’t be in this position now had it not been for making that decision.” Chris Streveler https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/07/13/signing-winnipeg-best-move-ever-made/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter 👁‍🗨I’ve finished re-watching our playoff run of 2019 and I can’t believe what an impact Chis Streveler made on the physical side of the ball as well as to the psyche of all his teammates. As thrilling as it was to see his growth and presence on our team, as a fan, I cannot put into words the sheer excitement he exuded every time he touched the ball. You could see it in his body language and mannerism. And, you could see it in his teammates. He spread that enthusiasm throughout the roster. If we never see him again, we can look back on the time he was with us, and be thankful, because he was ours.Grey Cup 2019. Remembered always!
