There is a very real problem of a high number of Rider posters that come here purely to troll. There is immediate suspicion on anyone who comes here under the Rider banner, is here to troll, because over 95% that come here do just that. It is unfortunate that every Rider fan here gets lumped into that category, and is jumped on by some posters, but there is good reason that it happens. I just banned a “semi regular” Rider poster here yesterday. Turns out he had signed up with 3 accounts, one with a very insulting name. It gets so tiring dealing with the stupid games people try to play, and the tolerance level gets lowered every time.

My HH goes to Dunigan for doing his best to rescue the TSN broadcast. Love listening to Matty watch football ... half analyst, half lunatic fan.

Way too much vitriol going around. The Riders are the worst 2nd place team in CFL history history, and got there with horseshoes on all feet.....and I would just leave it at that.....

No really, the difference between Rider fans and Bomber fans is like comparing Rod Pedersen to Ed Tait. ’Nough said..

What do you call a rider fan in a suit? What is the difference between a Rider fan and a baby? What's the difference between a fat chick and the Roughriders offense? Whats the difference between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and a mosquito?

I look at it this way.... if 17to85 went to the game this weekend, and brought the same attitude vocally in their barn, he'd probably get his ass kicked. It's okay to joke, but when you're at the game, whether you like it or not, there's a certain level of respect you need to give your opponent. You can win or lose with class, and that's what makes this rivalry for the most part, a friendly one. I plan on having a great time at the game, but I'm not going to be swearing and undermining Rider fans. We're all fans of the same game, we just cheer for different teams!

No injuries. 👁‍🗨Andrew Harris - 3 years ago when we signed Harris, I thought it was kind of neat, homegrown product and all. What I didn’t realize at the time how friggin good he is. The rushing title 2 years in a row! And if they had let him play a full game 3 years ago, he probably gets the 26 yards he needed to get 1000 yards. That would have made it 4 years in a row (one with BC) And btw, nice salute to your mates before leaving the game.

No I have a lot more respect for CFL fans in southern ontario than I do for Rider fans. It's actually hard to be a fan there so the ones that are fans, those are the true die hards. Rider fans are just annoying band wagon jumpers. Ever notice how there are probably 80000 fans who were there all through the dark times in Saskatchewan? Annoying as **** and they strut around like they're god's gift to the CFL and TSN panders to them so ridiculously much. It's by far the worst thing about the CFL.

I like two divisions. It helps with geographic rivalries. Playing divisional rivals near the last half during regular season stimulates interest because play off races. With the addition of a 5th squad in Halifax we would have balanced divisions. It was always maddening having poor Eastern Squads involved in post season when Western Squads went Christmas shopping. I think with the crossover format should be maintained if the league gets balanced.

I just know it's damned time we won a playoff game!!!! It WILL happen on Sunday.

TORONTO — The Canadian Football League (CFL) has released the following statement on Monday regarding on-field celebrations: “We are amending our policy on on-field celebrations to prohibit the use of alcohol or drugs and the mimicking of the use of alcohol or drugs or acting like a Roughrider fan.” (OK, I may have added a word or two)

For a guy who just wants to talk football you do a hell of a lot of whining about being told what the rest of the league actually thinks about Rider fans. It's like I said, ignorant fan base doesn't realize they are universally reviled around the league and can't comprehend not being treated like they think they should be.

No 17 to 85 your wrong. Its the apathy in the larger markets that is the plague. They bleed Green while we bleed Blue. If all the fans were as passionate for the teams like ours..this league would stand proud like it deserves to do..no where else to players still play for something rather than the all mighty buck. I hope it lasts for the younger ones to enjoy like i have.

No. Rider fans are the worst part of the CFL. The actually make being a CFL fan harder they are so collectively ignorant and proud of that ignorance. Reality check for Rider peeps that come on here to complain. “This is a Winnipeg Blue Bomber Fan site”. Observation. 9 teams in CFL, each with a fan site. No other team fans, lions, esks, cats, Argos...come here and criticize our posters, except for Rider people. Rider fans should not expect to come here and be revered. Your actions show you are undeserving of any admiration. This is the reality.

As infuriating as it is on occasion to see a eastern poor team stumble into the playoffs with a worse record than western teams (and sometimes win the Cup), there is a value to the east-west rivalry tradition. To me, it is part of the character of the CFL and non-negotiable.

Will be wearing bomber jersey in Regina on Friday.....it will be great.

Of course, leave it to my friend to plan his wedding on the day the Bombers play the Riders in the WSF. Not just a day off, the ceremony literally starts an hour after kick-off so I'm going to miss the entire game. I can't just **** off or have a phone with the game on either because I'm standing in the wedding. I wouldn't miss the wedding for anything, obviously, but I'm definitely going to give him some **** when I get to Vancouver. The good news is, if the good guys win I'll be able to attend the West Final in Calgary. And if we can get past the Stampeders and play in the Grey Cup, obviously I'll be making the trip up the road to Edmonton. I don't oversell this when I say I want this more than a Stanley Cup for the Jets. The Bombers were my first true sports love, and it really gives me pain as a fan to have to endure the 30 years streak we've been under. I really want the guys to end the misery and give me something to smile about late November.

I finished top 10 in CFL fantasy this year. My prize was the same as everybody else who didn't win though...

I can only do so much while I wait in anticipation for Sunday. Four to Five times per year I'm insanely excited about bomber football. Like flying out of my pants excited. Season Opener - yay! Home Game that I come to visit! Labour Day Classic (even though we usually suck the big one) Banjo Bowl (woo woo banjo pickin inbreds!) PLayoffs To top it off, we play the Ride-Tards on sunday. No shortage of joking with opposing fans (many of whom are my friends) and nervous anticipation. 6 sleeps. 6 LONG sleeps. We win on Sunday, I sense this is our year. We have the players. We have the coaching. We have the smash mouth attitude on the field. Lets get it done boys! What are YOU doing to pass the time?

That's the difference here unfortunately. How many of you were at the 2003 West Semi in Wpg? We lost that game, but my bitterness towards rider fans, not the team stems from that game. I've never seen so many down right rude, disgusting trolls in the stands who literally were getting ejected for being vulgar and starting fights (around alot of kids I might add). 1 or 2 the whole game? I can understand. But 10+ is out of hand. Pretty sure we all rib in good nature but it's the idiots with the manure in the bags (and their mouths) that give the rest of them a bad name.

It doesn't take many cretins to spoil the atmosphere of any gathering, even if its an online forum. When the bashing becomes ugly, the best members will simply check out or just lurk and everyone loses. Then we have another ourbombers.

I'm a little late to the party but here we go.... 1. Streveler. Great legs when he needed them, and he's just getting better and better. 2. Lankford. Don't think he's kicked a field goal since high school. 3. Augustine. I think he's much better than LaFrance.

Not to mention that every rider fan is a moron so even the "good" ones are still *******

There's a simple fix for that...

If they sold the farm to get Manziel then why are the Als playing Pipkin? Kavis Reed set the team back 3 years in doing it. I'd fire Sherman for doing that if I was Reed. Then again, I'd never have given up that much to get Manziel so Reed should be fired as well.

I can't see it, the CFL team that decides to pay $600,000 or more with bonuses to a single player is going to regret it in the long-run, robbing Peter to pay Paul. It's a team game and there are too many other good players that need to be paid fairly for a team to achieve the status of contender. Esks. missing the playoffs this year is a great example of what Reilly can achieve without enough help.

They like two divisions because it makes for important divisional games near the end of the year. Under a single division, the race this year wouldn't have been nearly as tight. Not saying it's right - just I think that is their logic. Personally I think they should keep two divisions, but remove the one-team limitation for the crossover rule, that would mean this year both EDM and BC would make the playoffs crossing over through the East, and the worst of the three (HAM) would've been eliminated. I agree it's stupid for a sub-.500 team to host a playoff game.

Those pigs on riderfans.com are already planning the west final vs Calgary. I can't wait to expose the Riders as the worst 2nd place west team in CFL history. End their season and send Saskatchewan as a province back to irrelevance where it belongs until the spring.
