A month ago, we were talking up the upcoming 4 games as "finding out what kind of team we have" Ottawa - didn't show up, got blown out Stamps - 2nd half collapse Riders series - overall was there....but totally boned ourselves with critical errors. That sort of thing.... that can induce a bit of "negativism" It certainty does not indicate some kind of lack of realism. That said, there is time to right the ship and pull a Toronto, this year - but it has to start real soon.

Officials, like the rest of us, are human. Sometimes they miss a call. The official didn't ignore it - he, unfortunately, didn't see it.

The idea of stinking it up for a bunch of games, then suddenly getting "hot" and winning it all through the old backdoor, bugs me. By now, the team, and its fans should be capable of/hoping for more than that.

There is extreme partisan politics on both sides.......both sides.

If the eye in the sky can call down to manufacture offsetting objectional conduct penalties, surely they can do the same for headshots.

Yes, they have better receivers, but they also have a better offensive system that allows the ball to be thrown deep. And, oh yeah, they have a top 2 QB who knows how to throw a deep ball. We don’t utilize our receivers in the same manner, so it’s pointless to say our receivers aren’t good. They rarely get a chance to shine. Our system - our QB.

I would give 1 challenge per half but I like the idea of penalizing 15 when they lose

How do the stamps just keep finding receivers...

Coaches that do these fishing trips & lose a challenge should have a 15 yard delay of game. This is why I don't want more than 1 challenge per team per game because of garbage challenges like that.

The Stamps are down three receivers & they can still throw the ball deep to a depth receiver better than we can with our starters.

Pretty unlikely that the Bombers can beat either of these teams.

Lucky the guy didn't snap his fibula. If a horsecollar pulling a guy backwards is illegal that should be too.

American political class have gone very quiet after Manafort surprise plea deal. Think there might be a lot of people scurrying around right now, figuring this out. Last thursday I read one journalist, who said Mueller was going to do something large, last Friday. He wasn't off by much.

Five years of rebuilding and the best we can hope for is a crossover. Sad.

They will start Nichols next game and it will be a blowout against Montreal, getting the team back on track. It has been a bad run but this team is not dead in the water. The bye week came at the perfect time. I predict a crossover spot and a run to the East final or Grey Cup. Those predicting 1-5 or 0-6 over the final six games are simply reacting to recent events rather than taking a 10000 foot view and considering the entire picture. Looking forward to the final third of the season.

Well, with the Bombers on the sidelines and hoping for the crossover, mathematically speaking we actually want Calgary to win here (since it is pretty much impossible for us to catch them). Agree with szaroz71's assessment here though, Calgary is just too good of a team to lose three straight.

If we lose to Montreal, trade Nichols to Toronto for Franklin straight up. If we're going to lose, we might as well do it with young QB's with an upside.

The games against the +.500 teams revealed who our team is. The game against Montreal won't reveal anything.

Really? I don't have any doubt we can beat them and we should definitely be favoured to win. Sure we are in a "funk" but in our last 3 games we've lost against one extremely hot team that we probably should have beat both games but gave away.. And Calgary. Rest of the season won't be easy but we are a better team than Montreal. C'mon now

Wouldn’t this be the critical time for her to come forward? While occasionally these stories are made up and lies in the case of high profile allegations they very rarely are. The blowback is always immense. This isn’t a job interview to manage the local McDonald’s. Every thing he’s ever done no matter how small or big is fair game. And should be fully investigated to determine its veracity.

SCOTUS judge for life? Turn over any and every stone. Should this story have legs? No, but it does because of the fast tracking and rubber stamping of this justice. Can't say i'm sad. An Unindicted co-conspirator choosing a SCOTUS for a lifetime appointment... THAT'S crazy.

It shouldn't rest on a coach's decision to challenge. The refs represent the league. It's not that hard to have a ref watching for this. Have the eye in the sky key on this. This is an issue of brain damage, not first down ball spotting. The hit on Lulay was sickening. As are all of these head shots. Also.... the NFL ejected a player on the weekend for a head shot. Why can't the CFL figure out that's a good idea? The league is doing better with this, but needs to do more.

The #MeToo movement has become a political one using past victims for their own agenda. Going after guys from nearly 40 years ago is pathetic especially when that person was a 16 year old. Rape was a crime back then as well & men went to jail back then like they do now. I'm not debating whether Kavanaugh should be a US federal court judge or not. Just debating how this "conveniently" popped up now. people are tired of being lied to by the media & all political parties.

Nichols play appears pretty much the same since he returned, he just is not as lucky anymore.
